Blog #220: Explore San Jose: We Discover anothe Spectacular Spot in Janay-Janay, San Jose, Negros Oriental

Happy Monday Hivers!

Explore. Explore. Explore; that's our constant topic with my friend whenever we communicate with each other. We wanted to visit to the less traveled road; to the spot that is full of tranquility; and to the place like paradise. We always wanted to satiate ourselves everytime we crave nature.

Yeah, I hear you, I know you like it too but sometimes because of the hectic schedule and other priorities in life we failed to slowdown and we failed to pursue the things we always wanted to see and experience. But don't worry because this time I will bring you virtually to another new spot that we've visited. Are you ready? Ok, let me begin my story.

It was a cloudy afternoon when our feet brought us to the mountainuos area of San Jose, Negros Oriental.

One of the reasons we went there was to visit Alimyon Kapehan and the restaurant that my friend kept telling me but since we still have much time after we've visited the 2 restaurants, we wanted to utilize it.

We stopped by as we have seen this beautiful spot along the road. We just picked wild strawberries; ate it; took photos; and breath fresh air. What a wonderful life I said to myself while I closed my eyes and enjoyed the moment.

After a couple of minutes, I spotted my friend who was busy taking photos of the spectacular scenery.

We left the area after few minutes of rest. We continued our journey until....

We were able to came across a trail. Let's see where this trail took us. Are you excited? The trail is located in Janay-Janay, San Jose, Negros Oriental.

It was a bit steeper and muddy pathway but it's ok though because we managed it well. Oppppssss this is not the main spot yet that I wanted to share with you. This is the view that greeted us as we have reached to the top. Corn plants and tropical trees were scattered everywhere.

As we have reached this area, we were able to see another elevated area, it is estimated for a 15 minute hike. We didn't waste our time, we continued hiking.

While we were hiking, I saw this cute flower. Of course, I didn't allow myself to just leave the area without taking photo of this flower.

After a few minutes of hiking, I was not able to notice this wild strawberries because I gave my full focus on the road. It was muddy and slippery so I should be careful and be focused.

When my friend shouted and pointed her finger to the wild strawberries that's the time I saw this.

But I can't explain why that time I don't like to pick the wild strawberry fruits. I just took photos and left it.

After taking photos, I quickly followed my friend. Whenever we climb the mountains she always take the lead because she is brave. She's not easily get scared.

I stopped for a few minutes to take rest because I was already catching my breath and to enjoy the beauty of nature. From there, I can see the endless sea and the island of Cebu.

On the other side, I can see the lush forest and the green mountains. I am always grateful to God for the opportunity he has given me to see and enjoy his majestic creations.

We can't longer hold our excitement to see the scenery on the elevated area few steps from us. Have you noticed my friend's sweet smile? Because she's already excited.

And finally we were able to reach the top. If you are not scared to explore, you'll truly discover beautiful things that will fill your soul.

We saw valleys and mountains; beautiful landscapes; and birds that were freely flew above us.

I immediately spread my arms; enjoy the moment; and feel the moment. And said "Thank You Lord".

Do you know what I have regretted that time? When I failed to snap a photo of the valley. There is a native house erected there near the rice field. It was such a beautiful view.

Well, I can't blame myself because I already enjoyed the moment the reason I forgot to take more photos to let you all see the view.

A moment later, there was a voice from a child shouted "ULI NAMO" meaning you go home now. I don't know why he wanted us to go home immediately, is it because the twilight may come very soon or because he doesn't want visitors in their place but whatever it is I'm grateful to my friend for another experience that I have. If not because of her maybe I would not be able to go that far. Thank you @franzpaulie!

I know some of you too wanted to explore but not ready to take the first step yet. Just try to step out of your comfort zone and soon you will realize that there are many beautiful things that you may discover beyond your comfort zone. Let's keep exploring!
