The budget is really not that much, but you have managed it well. But if you then stay at home and take care of the pets it is balanced;) The fact that it was not written on the Internet that it is not free, is already stupid, something like that is important especially if then still the tickets are sold out. The photos are still great with all the bright colors in the night.

I should clarify that the official Carnival Nice website did have a price section that listed the ticket prices but all of the blogs and personal experience sites that did not include that information, which is what we mostly relied on. We are partially to blame I guess for not looking into it further but our impression was that it was a parade on the streets not a closed off event behind a barrier lol. It never really crossed our minds that it would be a paid event so we didn't look into further which was our bad haha.
Ah ok I see. But I think it can happen to anyone, it often happens to me too, that I tend to read through testimonials because I think they're more authentic. But you still had a pretty good view :)
