Hello Hivers
Come along with me on my hike to Rockbound Lake, located in Banff National Park, Canada.
This 8.4 Km hike is uphill all the way, but the reward is well worth....
the effort. Thick dense conifer forest, and a well used trail lead you to the destination.
It is bear territory, although none were seen I did get a close up of ...
a female Spruce Grouse.
The forest begins to thin out as you near the summit, and there is a bit of snow on the ground from....
the evening before. and it's only mid September.
At last Tower Lake appears, with crystal clear water, and .....
sheer granite cliff walls.
Finally the destination, well named Rockbound Lake. The perfect spot for....
a well deserved lunch.
Then one more short climb to the top of the cliff and overlooking the lake.
That is very close to the actual water colour, not due to editing.
Thanks for coming along on my hike.
