I'm not a football fan but I remember when Brian Clough was the manager of Brighton and Hove Albion. Brighton is about 20 miles from where I live. I think they were got into what was then the 1st division (this would have been in the late 70s) soon after he became their manager.

I'm not a footie fan either, but when your other half is, you pick up lots of trivia!! Brighton is doing well in the Premier League, staying in there since they've been promoted some years ago.
