GOOD MORNING FROM MALAPASCUA ISLAND!
How are you all doing?
Today, we will be going to Dakit-Dakit Island and the Japanese Shipwreck. I did mention in my last post that Kuya Bogs was offering an island tour package. Well, we actually availed that one. Because why not? We have not tried it before and the price was fairly reasonable.
We woke up at around 6:50 AM and then we headed to their Market for breakfast.
Here's me taking advantage of the blossoming flowers of bougainvillea. 🌺
Most of the food found in the market are Filipino food. We ordered string beans, pork caldereta, monggo beans, pork sinigang and of course, coffee. You can't go swimming on an empty stomach. 😉
After which, we then proceeded to the port where we will be meeting Kuya Bogs and his team to start our island tour. Kuya Bogs did not join us since he still needs to work in the port, but we were joined by his father and niece.
Our first stop is Dakit-Dakit Island
Do you see that small island in the picture? That's where we are going. Kuya said that we will not dock on the island because we will go snorkeling.
When we arrived, there were several tourists already swimming. The weather was windy but it did not stop us from enjoying the sea.
Just look at the beauty of this place, I had to take pictures so please excuse my face 😂
We did not take many pictures because we wanted to enjoy the corals and the different types of colorful fish. The abundance of sea animals is making my heart warm 💚.
We saw different kinds of fish. Maybe the fish are used to seeing humans that they don’t shy away from you. The corals were so big and beautiful. Truly a sight for snorkelers and freedivers.
We stayed here for several minutes before heading to our next destination.
Off to the Japanese Shipwreck
Truth be told, we did not stay here for long because the water was murky and I was a bit afraid of the remnants of the ship. It was dark below and the water was really cold. I was shivering both because of the temperature and my fear. Although I did brave snorkeling the area while holding the hand of Keejay, which was really funny. 😅
Here are some shots of Keejay bravely swimming in the shipwreck.
Then there's me... taking a selfie 😁
That ends part 2 of our Malapascua Island adventure. Next post, I will be sharing the last two stops of our island tour.
Thank you for dropping by! 😍 See you in the next one. Stay awesome! 💛
