It must be disappointing to get to the end of the walk and not find what you expected, but as you say, the only good thing about that situation has been the exercise for the body, which is very good.

It's good that you went camping prepared with everything necessary to avoid being cold at night, your previous experience has been fundamental so that it doesn't happen to you again.

It's a shame that there is no information about the closed path, so that one doesn't have to walk so much and be disappointed at the end.
