My trip from Can Tho to An Giang.

in Worldmappin3 years ago (edited)

An Giang has always been famous throughout the West for the sacredness of temples and pagodas. In addition, this place also owns beautiful check-in locations and immense green palm jaggery fields
The ideal time to go to An Giang I choose in the floating season (September - November) is the most beautiful. At this time, the climate is cool, when the water is floating, go to Tra Su Melaleuca Forest, which is super beautiful.

  • Vehicle: Because I want to be convenient to move and have more time to see the beautiful scenery, I rode a motorbike from 3 am because it was my first time, so I followed Google Map for directions.

I follow the schedule to visit the points in order:

  • Heaven Gate: This is the gate of a Koh Kas temple in An Hoa hamlet, Chau Lang commune, Tri Ton district. With the typical architecture of the Khmer people and the view of the vast green rice fields around. The best time to check in at Tri Ton Heaven Gate is around early morning or late afternoon, so avoid hot sunny times like noon.

  • The heart tree is not a heart-shaped tree in An Tuc commune, Tri Ton district, An Giang province. Which is a cluster of 7 palm trees combined to create a heart shape. If you want to take good photos, run deep into the small trails. The best photoshoot is at dawn or dusk, at this time there are a lot of storks. Remember not to throw garbage indiscriminately, preserve the landscape.

  • Rows of Thot Not trees: in Phu Cuong mountain, An Nong, Tinh Bien, An Giang, leave this here, I search on Google map An Nong People's Committee (Tinh Bien, An Giang) come and see next to An Nong People's Committee is 1 road. Go straight up and see the fork turn right, walk a few hundred meters and you will see An Nong primary school. And look opposite the school will see this row of jaggery.

  • O Thum Lake: The most beautiful when in the rainy season, immense water overflows onto the rocky embankment, creating a wild scene. Along the shore, there are many jaggery plants, the iconic tree of An Giang province. Ho O Thum is also famous for burning chicken and burning beef. Give it a try!

  • Grilled chicken O Thum: 1 chicken 250k (I ordered extra rice, go 4ng to split ~ 70.000vnd) Burnt chicken looks like grilled chicken but there is a special recipe for Khmer people to eat here, I should order in advance to avoid long wait

  • Tra Su Melaleuca Forest: If you go to An Giang, you must visit here, the ticket price is 150k / person including motorboat, rowing boat, visit the observatory. The day I went with 4 people, when I went to the transmission, I would go with another guest. The scenery is very beautiful, the virtual life is always great, the staff is friendly, enthusiastic, it is extremely recommended to go to the Melaleuca forest, everyone. If you go with a group like that, if you go back, you also have to wait to return, going deep into the Melaleuca forest there are quite a few places to go out, eat and drink all kinds of food, so even though the ticket price is cheap, it will be quite inconvenient.

  • From the tea forest, we move towards Tri Tonto go to Ta Pa mountain. There is a very hot place here, that is Ta Pa lake, known as the perfect love cup because of its wild beauty. Here, in addition to the beautiful natural scenery, there are many miniatures of cars, hooks for you to check-in and take photos, nearby, there are also many convenient restaurants.

  • Kim Tien Pagoda: in An Phu commune, Nha Bang town, Tinh Bien district, An Giang. Famous as a splendid temple with bold "old-fashioned" architecture. On both sides of the main steps of the pagoda are two large dragons carved lifelike, I am most impressed by the giant 24m high Amitabha Buddha statue built on the roof of the temple. When entering the temple, you should wear simple, discreet, polite clothes, do not litter indiscriminately, maintain general hygiene.

  • Lau Pagoda: also known as Phuoc Lam Tu, is located in Xuan Phu, Tinh Bien, An Giang. This temple was built with many unique floors with the main red colour, which looks quite ancient. Coming here, I am most impressed with the hanging rope bridge connecting the jaggery trees - the symbolic tree of An Giang land. Lau Pagoda is said to be one of the six temples in Vietnam with Japanese architecture, so when taking photos, it looks sparkling. Here, I send it outside for 5.000vnd / piece

The trip I went on was only for a day, so many places have not been visited yet, hopefully with a part of the experience that I have just summarized in this article, will help you partly refer to more interesting experiences for the upcoming trip come!

Fantastic places.
The green places reminded me of the villages, I liked such places too much.
