In the northern road axis of Puerto Ayacucho there are several wells whose name I do not know completely, we can find them between two known resorts which are “El Charro” and “Pozo Azul”, because these places are better known and closer to the road, most people visit these sites and stay in them because they have huts to cover themselves from the sun and also seats and tables.

Even so if we go a little deeper into the area we can get these beautiful places that are not crowded by people, in fact we did not see a single person there the day we went. While walking around the area we decided to take a long walk, looking for some wells that were a little deeper and yes, we got them. My sister-in-law, my husband and I went alone to explore the area, and we bathed in about four different wells.
At first I was a bit scared because since it is not a crowded place at all everything seemed to be too lonely and I could only think that surely I had a good reason for it to be like that, but thinking about it a bit better the truth is that no reasonable enough person would be walking at that time of the day in such a desolate area where the sun felt about ten times more than normal.

But that day we went to enjoy and the sun was the least of it, we walked between 30 and 40 minutes, I must emphasize that I went with my husband and his sister who grew up in Puerto Ayacucho - Amazonas and have already been in more dangerous places than those, so I could be calm because they would know how to handle any situation either in the water or with any animal.
All the wells had a very nice temperature, they were cool and relieved any discomfort from the strong sun, we swam in them freely as they were deep, but the water was crystal clear enough to see if there was anything in it, plus most of them were uncovered, ie it was only one or two that had trees or branches that honestly to me gave me a little scary, to see so many documentaries of snakes and rivers.

Personally I have always preferred the river to the beach, I like the peace that a calm river or a well transmits, I like that they are of fresh water and the sensation that it leaves in your body due to its temperatures. In fact as a family we used to have the habit that every time we went to the beach at the end we took a good bath in the river to avoid extreme sunburn and salt.
So I had a great time because I was in a place that I like a lot, even though I feel a lot of respect for any kind of water because I am quite fearful, the truth is that I was calm because I had people with experience and also of all those wells that we visited only one was exaggeratedly deep and the truth is that I only dedicated myself to observe and admire how beautiful it was.

If you have the opportunity to visit some of the main rivers of the northern road axis when you go to Amazonas, then I invite you to visit the other wells in the area with someone with experience, it is a beautiful experience to see how nature itself takes care of itself, looking beautiful and natural without the need for humans to maintain it.

Your story transported me to those crystalline and desolate wells, a true refuge from the chaos and frenzy. Those moments in nature, surrounded by peace and beauty, are priceless. I would love to know more about the differences between the wells you visited, is there any that stood out for its landscape or depth?
Yes, the one in the fourth photo, the part where you can see the greenest part was quite deep, my husband dove down to the bottom to make sure we could get in and he never touched it, I didn't get in that one, I just went to the shore. Usually you know a place is deep because it looks dark or black, you just don't see it, but surprisingly that one looked super clear, and in fact you could see the bottom, I thought that was amazing.
