Beautiful trip with your fam..
I wish to see real snow someday. :)
But I don't think it's good to go hiking when the mountains are snowy. Aside from it's colder, the trails aren't safe and can be slippery

      Yes, some are very slippery because they turn to ice. The best thing to do is to have crampons, like spikes on your shoes.
