Good Day, Hivers!

Today, I want to share with you my experience of an overnight camping trip at Paharuhay Campsite, located in Caduawan, Tabogon, Cebu. This trip has always been on my mind because, even though our place is quite close to Caduawan, I never had the chance to visit before due to my laziness to go out. But this time, I was really excited because I heard so many positive things about the campsite. I especially looked forward to the mornings, where people said the sunlight is beautiful, and the fresh breeze makes it an even more relaxing experience.

Paharuhay is a stunning place surrounded by nature, offering breathtaking views, and it is located in the peaceful town of Tabogon, Cebu.

The Journey Begins

My coworkers and I had been talking about going camping here for a long time, and finally, it happened! My coworkers have wanted to camp here for a long time, and thankfully, this time, it finally pushed through. For us, we really deserved a break since we’ve been very busy the past days and even months.

But of course, as working students, we make sure that our trip is budget-friendly, so we did some research and asked some friends about the fees for camping there, how much the entrance is, and if we can make a reservation.

To our surprise, the entrance fee was only 200 pesos, and it included a free breakfast! This made it even more exciting, so I immediately asked my siblings, "Do you want to join? The entrance fee is 200 pesos, and it includes breakfast." They happily agreed!

How to Get There?

Our Arrival

For me and my siblings, since our place is near from paharuhay, we decided to take a motorcycle to get to the campsite. We left a bit late in the evening, but we finally arrived around 9 PM. As soon as we entered the campsite, we noticed a small coffee station on the left side, which was a nice touch. A staff member approached us to ask if we had companions, and I nodded, while my siblings confirmed. The staff member kindly said, "Okay, take care." We then made our way to our tents, but since we didn’t bring a flashlight, we had to use my cellphone as a light source.

When I switched on my flashlight and wave my cellphone, my co working students then waved us too with flashlights on their cellphones, in order to signal that they had seen us. Once we reached the tent, we were warmly welcomed by the campsite staff.

Camping Setup

When we arrived at the campsite, there were only four of us working students who came along, and we brought two camping tents with us. This worked out perfectly because we decided to have the girls sleep in one tent and the guys in the other. It was a simple but comfortable setup for our group.

We then had a brief conversation, and we agreed not to sleep immediately because we wanted to enjoy the peaceful night. However, my sister decided to sleep first, so I followed, and the others did the same. It was a nice way to relax and get ready for the night.

A Restful Night and Beautiful Morning

We then had a good night’s sleep.

In the morning, when I woke up, our tent was a bit damp, probably because of the fog, but I didn’t mind and focused on what my companion said, "Guys, I’ll get the food for breakfast," and I just nodded.

After having breakfast, we stepped outside the tent to appreciate the moment.

The sunrise was truly beautiful, and the view was incredible—it was such a refreshing way to start the day.
