RE: Crossing Borders by Bus: Vietnam & Laos | IndoChina Travel Blog Series

in Worldmappin11 months ago

I did an overnight bus ride around Myanmar and did a border crossing from Bangkok, Thailand to Siem Reap, Cambodia (roundtrip). Oh, and I also tried the overnight bus from Tokyo to Osaka (roundtrip). It's not always comfortable to sleep on the bus but I can always fall asleep. And I was doing a solo trip before, so, I needed to find a friend or always talk to the ticket guy so that they wouldn't lose me. Thankfully, a few locals in Myanmar were very helpful in being sure I made it to my destination.

woow! that's a wonderful and overwhelming experience @itravelrox ! I agree- it's not that comfortable having a trip on a sleeper bus (better with a sleeper train tho). I have tried another one, crossing border from Singapore to Malaysia but it was a sitting bus only. I bet tokyo to osaka is a lot better?

It was a sitting bus but you can adjust your seat for sleeping. There was a little monitor behind the seat to watch movies and a headset was provided. But it was cute because the color of the bus was pink. Haha! No blankets were provided. It was expensive, about PHP 3,000. Comfy and clean naman.

I remember my overnight bus around Myanmar, blankets, water, and a little biscuit were provided. And it was cheap. It was about PHP 600 if converted to peso.

Haha nothing new about the rates in Japan, everything there is costly, lol. I lived there for 3 months, tyaga lang talaga mag-luto hehe, and oh the color of their vehicles are so cute even the dump trucks are in bright colors lol.

Myanmar- I wanna travel to Myanmar someday- thanks for the idea 😉

Hopefully, I can blog about Myanmar. Daghan pa kog backlogs :D

Yes please! that'll be interesting
hahah me too backlogs keep the storage full haha
