You should visit and explore Bolinao Pangasinan Philippines!
Are you looking for a place to wander where you can visit beautiful beaches, historical places, caves, and waterfalls? Bolinao Pangasinan can give you this kind of exploration. In my previous blogs, you've seen beautiful beaches in Bolinao Pangasinan. For today's blog, we will visit another tourist spot in this place that you can explore.
This time, Let's discover Bolinao Falls.
The province of Pangasinan is indeed one of the tourist destinations in the Philippines. On this province, most of the tourists visit the Bolinao municipality and explore its wonders. One of these favorite tourist spots to visit is its majestic Waterfalls.
Bolinao Falls
There are three waterfalls in the area they named Bolinao Falls 1, Bolinao Falls 2, and Bolinao Falls 3. We only visited one of them, The Bolinao Falls 1. It is the tallest among the three and the most visited one. It has a wide shallow basin where you can swim and enjoy the cold fresh water of the falls.
It is also perfect for cliff jumping with a height of 15 to 20 feet. You can enjoy jumping and swimming on these falls just like what we did. Just make sure to have some guidance from the management team regarding the falls.
This tourist destination is the first spot we visited during our company summer outing last April 11, 2024. We are twenty in total and all are excited with the view of these waterfalls. After our breakfast in the town proper of Bolinao, we directly headed to this place.
It is 8:20 am when we arrive at the entrance area of this tourist spot. The place is quite developed. It has a comfort room and shower area for tourists. There are a lot of stores for your food and snacks as well. You will also find souvenir shops that yu can bring home for your loved ones.
After this photo is taken, we now start the trail going to the falls, You know what, you can be in the waterfalls after you go down these stairs. Yes, it is just 3 minutes walk from the dropping point. You will never be exhausted from finding this wonder. But advice, you need to wear comfortable shoes or slippers, the stair is a little bit stiff and after that, you will walk on the rocky pathway.
On the stairs, you can already see the waterfalls and hear it roaring water. At the bottom of the stairs, you will see its full beauty like this. Indeed worth it to visit.
The waterfalls are not too wide and the water is crystal green reflecting the greenish plant that surrounds the falls. After a few minutes of exploration of its vicinity, some of us decided to take a dip.
The water is cold, and Im excited to see the falls up close. I was in awe of this view, it was like one of the pictures I've seen on social media about it and it's more beautiful when you see it in actuality and you hear the drops of water.
It's quite relaxing, I close my eyes for a moment, and hearing the sound of the water is the best takeaway I've got on visiting this. Glad that time, since it's early, few tourists are in the waterfalls.
The place has some cottages and small tables for the tourists, if you stay for a long time you can use it for your things and food. The rent ranges from 200-500 pesos only. A life Jacket is a must when swimming. You can bring your own if you have one but, you can also rent from the management, it is only 50 pesos, so don't worry.
How to reach this place?
If you love to discover this place, if you are from Manila, you can ride a bus from Pasay and Cubao to Alaminos City. It will cost you ₱ 350 to ₱ 400 for the fare, then transfer to a local bus going to Bolinao, which will cost ₱ 150. After that, ride a tricycle going to Bolinao Falls. The fare estimated is ₱ 200 back and forth already.
If you have a private vehicle just pin the Bolinao Falls 1 in your map and it will navigate you along the the way. The total travel time to reach it is 5-6 hours. I know it's a long travel, but I told you it is worth it to visit.
Travel Tips
- The best time to visit is weekdays, less crowded and peaceful

We loved the place, we enjoyed its scenery and we had fun dipping in the natural pool. We capture a lot of photos for our remembrance and of course for our social walls. You should put this on the list to visit when you wander the province of Pangasinan. It is worth it for your time and to discover.

That place will be added to my bucket list, maybe I'll recommend it to my teammates since we are planning to have a team building but I think it's too far here on metro city, maybe if there's enough time then that would be worth it.
The shots of the place was beautiful, it shows it's elegance and it was clean, maybe the local government implement a strict rules that visitors need to follow. It's such a nice tourist spot hoping it will be famous among foreigners for them to visit.
The place is worth it to explore, your friends will love this place once you visit.
