It is a dream of so many people living in the big cities to start living in a small hill station, away from all the chaos. Away from all the noisy streets and crowded places. Well, I have been living in a small hill station for past 4 years and I would like to share my experience with you.
When I was a young boy, I always wanted to move to big cities, because I was very inspired by the movies. I was so fascinated by the buildings and clean streets. I wanted to meet new people and I used to think that people in cities are also like the people living in the villages. But as I grew up and moved to a city for a while, I just realised, it is way different than the village and small town.
In the small towns, people know each other and frequently see each other almost everyday. While walking on the streets, we meet lot of our friends and neighbours but it is totally different in the cities. There are lots of people in the big cities and lots of new faces. It is really hard to find someone you know. It changed my mind.
I moved to Manali 4 years ago and It is a small town but very crowded in the season time. Manali is a tourist place and every year, lots of people come to visit this town. I like Manali when it is off-season and streets are almost empty. Only local people can be seen on the streets and less noise pollution.
Living in a small town has it's own positive and negative sides. As I observed that if you are living in a small town, you will be away from the hustle-bustle of the cities and air will be fresh. You can live a peaceful life. But, on the other hand you will be away from all the comfort of the cities. In different seasons their are different issues. Like in Monsoon and winter season, Electricity and water supplies are effected due to landslides and pipe jam. Then it is a struggle to get water from the water source. You have to walk on the snow to get water. So, basically I mean if someone wants to move to a small town or village, They must be prepared for the consequences and make a stronger mindset.
Well, for me, I feel blessed that I am living in a place like this. I can live here forever because of the weather and nature.
That is all about this blog, I hope you liked it.
Namaste!
