Exploring The Himalayas | I went on a hike with my cousins

in Worldmappin3 months ago

Namaste! All my Hive family, I hope you are doing well. So, this blog is about my hike to an unknown place with my cousins. It is a bit old trip and I just thought to write something about that as well.

So it was summer in India, and during the lockdown, no one was allowed to go outside. Section 144 was applied across the country. But fortunately, we were at the village and it was my Nana's place. It is so far away from the city where no cops can reach. Basically, we were free to go anywhere on the mountains. So we decided to go on a hike to the nearby hills.

Me and my three cousins, we packed everything and started our hike. On the way we saw beautiful scenic views. That time I had old iPhone SE but it captured the good quality pictures (as compared to other phones of that time). We reached at a temple of Goddess Kali. Also known as the Goddess of Hunters. There is a story behind this. In the ancient times, when the hunters used to go out on a hunt, they worship Goddess Kali for the successful hunt. That is why this name came from. It is a beautiful place on the top of the hill.

We stopped there and did Puja and after that we made a fire and made tea and had some snacks. After that we moved further. After walking for a couple of hours, we reached at a point which seemed perfect for camping. We were about to stay there for the night. We prepared for the dinner we had to bring water from a source nearby. It was a 10 minutes walk in the woods. After that we had to collet the woods for the fire. By the evening, we were done with all the work and then the fun started. We enjoyed a lot. We danced and played guitar.

Next morning one Shephard came to see us. He was wondering because he rarely got any visiter. He offered us some buffalo milk and in return he wanted me to play guitar for him. I played a couple of songs and he was very happy. His kids also joined us.

Then we had our morning tea and we packed our stuff and cleared the area and all the mess that we made. Then we came back home. Those were the good times. I hope you enjoyed reading my blog. Please support me by following me and sharing my blogs.

Thank you so much !

Namaste!
