Besides the diving spots, beautiful corals, and diverse marine life, Malapascua Island is also known for its white-sand beaches! And so it is but a must to visit one if you travel here.
During our trip to Malapascua Island last February 2022 for our Valentine's celebration, @ybanezkim26 suggested we head to Langob Beach to watch and enjoy the sunset. And glad we just did that! If I can remember it well, we went here on our 3rd day. Initially, we planned to leave the New Villa Sandra Guesthouse by 2:00 pm but the sun was still casting its scorching heat and so we worked for the time being and finally left the guesthouse by 3:30 pm.
Getting there requires one to ride a habal-habal or you can rent out a motorbike. As for us, I already booked 2 habal-habal drivers that morning. It just costs $2 for a back and forth ride. Might share next what it's like driving around Malapascua in a habal-habal and show the conditions of the place. The driver took us to a private place just next to D' Avila's Horizon Resort but it seems like the ones living there were ok for people to pass by to get to the beach.
Once we got to the beachfront, I was simply amazed at how serene the place was. Although the sun was already setting, one can tell that the sand was fine and white. The beach stretched a few kilometers wide and so one would enjoy some leisure time and a stroll here. The twin islets where we were freediving that morning are seen from the beach shore. On the far right, the beach ends with a cliff. And on the left side was where the sun was slowly setting creating a silhouette with the hills and coconut trees. And the sky was just filled with blue and orange hues.
Powerful was the one word I can describe the sea in front of us. Even the waves were a bit strong bringing about the strong winds passing by. And yet the sound of the waves and the chirping of the birds in the background was just music to the ears so I made sure you would hear it by the end of the video too.
The beach was barely crowded. Some tourists were eating at a nearby table where locals were selling their goods but that was just about it. Felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves. As much as I want to go for a swim, the waves and the birds chirping in the back were a bit strong and so I preferred to sit on the sand and took in all the beauty in front of me and took some videos.
And when night already covered the skies and the winds were even stronger now, we went inside D' Avila's Horizon Resort (which was the only resort you can stay here up north of Malapascua) and had a sumptuous dinner. We were then picked up by our habal-habal drivers around 8:00 pm.
Heading to this sweet spot in Malapascua was all worth it and you should too! For the mean time, enjoy this video of this beautiful Langob Beach!

Thanks for sharing with us, it was like I was there for a moment. 😁
Glad you like it @littlebee4! It is moments like these that we truly can say we were at peace with nature!
Yes… treasure those moments. They are so important 🥰
It looks like a wonderful place :) How far was it from your hotel???
just a 10-15 minute drive! Seriously, I'm really wanting to move to a little cottage close to the beach. I mean, I'm working remotely so what the hell is stopping me from doing so? Doubts and hesitation. Argggh. 😂
Find a place you love, and do it :) Life is short, and it will make you more productive.
The sunset in Langob Beach is stunning. Your decision to go there to enjoy the sunset is totally right. I love the long and wide sand and the water looks clean too.
So simple and so beautiful.
Now this is such a topmost adventure you've had in malapascua I see it really amazing right through my phone screen from your video
This would certainly be my greatest dream place for tourism if only typing was loud enough to take me there but unfortunately money speaks louder than typing 😂
I can't stop admiring the beach and a tired sun in the sky. it's a bliss.
thank you so much for the great coverage you're good!❤️
Hey @protokkol! Thank you so much! Well, why not head to your nearest beach there? Do you also have white sand beaches and gorgeous sunsets to enjoy?
@indayclara Yeah there certainly is a beach but can't be compared with the specifications of what I am seeing there in malapascua.
Maybe I'll get to share with you some of the pictures someday!
