I know I've been away for a couple of weeks now. It was due to the holiest month for Muslims, ie, Ramadan. In this month, the priority of every Muslim is to worship God and ask for good health, work for this world and the Hereafter, ask for forgiveness and basically, aim for spiritual healing.
In the last 10 days of Ramadan, millions of Muslims all over the world, stay in different Mosques so that they're secluded from the outer world in these 10 days and give all their time to the Creator of this World.
I was amongst those people as well as I was staying in a local mosque for 10 days without my cellphone or any other gadget or device that would have distracted me. In case you don't know, Muslims, all over the world fast for straight 30 days in the month of Ramadan.
Anyway, since my last post on this platform, there have been a lot of updates in my life. In this blog I will be talking about one of the best experiences I have had recently. If you're a science freak, this post is for you.
MAGNIFICENCE: THE WORLD OF SCIENCE
Magnificence has to be your go to place if you're a science geek. This museum gas everything related to science and the fun part is you can actively take part in all the science activities as well. Unlike other museums where you can only take a tour or just look at stuff, in this museum you have the authority of actually proceeding with the science you've studied till now. For example, how does Charles'Law work? How does the blood circulate in our body. What does πr² mean and a lot of other stuff.
There are three floors in this museum each being dedicated to a different branch of science. So for example, the ground floor is dedicated to Biology and a bit of ither general things.
The first floor is for Chemistry and Physics while the 2nd floor is for Mathematics and a bit of Media stuff. I'll take you on a tour of each floor seperately. Oh and yes, the outside area consists of the Botanical garden, a huge chessboard and a lot of other dun activities as well. Let's roll.
BIOLOGY
Imagine you're walking unside a human body. You can feel the eart beats. You can see the ribs, you can see all the lobes of the brain and how everything functions. This place offered everything of that sort.
In the beginning there were assets associated with emergency auch as the resuscitation kits, ambulance, fire brigades etc.
I'M A DENTIST
OH YES. In case you didn't know, let me tell you I'm a dental surgeon so in case someone breaks your teeth in a fight you can always contact me hahaha.
Anyway, there was this huge dental model which really fascinated me.
Isn't this beautiful? You can see all the landmarks of all the individual teeth as well as the roots. This model had be hooked me to it for quite some time as I was deeply engrossed in checking all the teeth.
WAS COVID REAL?
So sick and tired of my friends calling covid as a hoax and a fake pandemic as they believe it was just a set up by the elites of this world to have some profitable business. I mean, if they'd seen my elder brother Returning for the ER everyday with his PPEs on they'd have believed otherwise. Covid was real and it killed lots and lots of people
Why am I talking about covid here? Because the next section I visited was the viruses and the bacteria section in which prominent diseases were explained in detail.
YOU CAN DIE OF A BROKEN HEART
Yes you read that right. You can ideed die of a broken heart. It's a real thing known as the Broken Heart Syndrome.
It's same as a heart attack but a heart attack occurs due to some diseases whereas the broken heart syndrome is due to the rush of different stress hormones in pur body such as the adrenaline etc
There are certain moments in our lives in which we think that we'll not be able to make through the situation. Where we can feel our hearts in our throats, the feeling of disparity and fear is unbearable. It's in those moments where you build yourself up and become stronger than ever.
ARE YOU INTO PHYSICS?
Nah man. I don't like Physics at all. I still remember, I got the lowest marks in my entrance exam in the physics section. Partly because I had always been taught theory and quite honestly I understand jack shit untill and unless I go through the practical work.
Physics has always intrigued me but I couldn't really understand it to its fullest. Probably because I didn't study it enough lmao. But it always fascinates me to read about how the gravitational forces in pur world works. How the sound and light travels. The theory of relativity. Nuclear reactions. The space and much more.
Even in the most basic of things we find physics. The different phenomenons of waves. The friction. Pendulums and much more.
THE RBG ROOM
The three basic colors out there in the world. Did you know that all the colors in this world are made up of through combining these three colors. I was lucky enough to visit the RBG room to witness different properties of these colors.
SOUND
Do you know how sound travels? It travels in waves. It's a really intriguing phenomenon if you read about it. But only reading will not excite you or intrigue you as much as actually seeing how sound travels. I was lucky enough to witness all the phenomenons in this amazing place.
Acoustics is concerned with the physics behind the sounds we hear every day.
It investigates how sounds are made and transmitted, what forces affect their movement, and how the human ear detects and translates them to our brains.
Sound is all around us. Can you actually see the phenomenon? If you could see sound, what do you think it would look like?
This exhibition explains the science behind sound and makes creative connections between science, music, and technology.
🎶 SA RE GA MA PA DHA NI these are the basic components of music or as we call it in pur native language the Sur and Taal of music. I was able to play them in their original form.
Water Sound
The water music was fascinating in itself as well. The bowl was made up of copper. Rubbing the copper handles made it disturb the surrounding air molecules. Which in turn created a capillary wave in the water molecules. The capillary waves are seen in nature in the form of waves.
FOUCAULT PENDULUM
This pendulum is named after the Famous French Physicist Foucault who first demonstrated the Earth's movement in 1851.
Thi Foucault's pendulum demonstrates the movement of the earth where the pendulum is attracted towards the Earth's gravitational forces. When the pendulum is hung straight, the wire and the weight is attracted towards the centre as that is where the gravitational force of the Earth is.
If the pendulum is directly over the North Pole, it's noticed that it's direction change takes place in aeound 24 hours as that is the time period of Earth's one complete rotation.
SAND PENDULUM
A sand pendulum is swung over sand to notice the turbulence and the oscillations it makes on the sand.
Waves or oscillations lose the energy and inertia over time which causes a shift in the pattern made over sand.
CHAOTIC PENDULUM
One of my favourites in this museum. This chaotic pendulum wouldn't stop swinging no matter how much time you gave it. It only stopped if you caught it xD
MISCELLANEOUS STUFF
The fun thing about this place was that it also consisted of a lot of miscellaneous stuff which I really enjoyed. Such as human chess, climbing ropes, authentic Pakistani truck art and much more. Lets take a look at all the stuff.
HUMAN CHESS
Being a chess lover since my childhood I was frantically jumping in excitement to go this arena and play chess with my brothers and cousins
To witness the King the Queen, Knights, bishops and pawns in this huge form was mjnd blowing for me honestly.
TRADITIONAL PAKISTANI TRUCK ART
Did you know Pakistan is famous for its truck art in the whole world. There was this exhibition recently in the States where Pakistan was able to get a position in the truck art exhibition.
The roots of this art arise from the rural areas of Pakistan where the truck owners decorate their vehicles like a newly wed bride. There are poetry written over it. Lots of decorations, an absolute treat for the eyes.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
I wasn't able to capture all the outdoor activities as I was so indulged in taking part in them. The outdoor activities included rope climbing, slides, obstacles and much more.
So guys this was it from my side. This day honestly was a memorable day for me. I know I have been away for quite some time but hopefully I'll be back with my usual posting and entertaining you all. Till then take care byeee.
WHO IS HUZAIFANAVEED?
