Hello friends of hotspot Italy last Sunday I went with my wife to Castel Goffredo, a small town of about 13,000 inhabitants which is located in the province of Mantua But which is not far from Brescia.

We often come to this place due to the fact that on the first Sunday of the month a large second-hand book market is organized, one of the largest in Italy, where you can buy used books to give them a second life but you can also bring your own books. to sell or simply exchange them with other people.

This beautiful event is organized in the central Piazza Mazzini which is surrounded by the characteristic arcades that make this village very beautiful.

Unlike my wife, I am not a super book enthusiast Instead she really likes to come to these places to be able to exchange books so I took the opportunity to explore the oldest monument in the city, the famous Civic Tower!

I started my visit from the tourist office where I bought the ticket at a cost of € 3, a very low price in my opinion, and then I climbed a very steep staircase.

Of course I brought my Gopro with me and I created a beautiful movie for you that I uploaded to my YouTube page you can select all of yours in your language because I have included those too.

You have to climb several stairs to get to the panoramic terrace above the tower from where you can see a beautiful 360 ° panorama and you can also admire Castel Goffredo from above.

There are exactly eight floors, including the panoramic terrace, on each floor you will find a small space and museum, where there will be explanations of the history of the tower and the evolution of the country.

The most beautiful and most characteristic plans are those of the clock where you are behind the clock and you can see the mechanism of operation.

But what fascinated me the most is the floor where the bells are located that if you look at the whole video until the end I was able to stop them because they are activated since they start moving every half hour.

Of course for selfie lovers the best place is the terrace. I took some photos of the town from above unfortunately you couldn't see much in the distance due to the fact that there was too much humidity.

In the final part of the day I too went for a tour inside the market and went to retrieve my wife who in the meantime had already spent a lot of money.

I hope you found this story and this exploration interesting, which I made of this important monument in the city of Castel Goffredo, a place that I definitely recommend if you come to Italy to visit.
