On one hand, winter arrived and on the other hand, @worldmappin organized #winterchallenge. To tell you the truth, some people have gone so far in this challenge that it is now almost impossible to catch them. Initially, I thought that I would definitely win a hoodie as a prize by coming in the first two, but now it is very difficult. Now I just want to finish this challenge by being in the top 10. I hope you all are enjoying the winter.
So let's start our journey where today we will start from Pang, cross More Plains, cross Tanglang La pass and head towards Leh city. By 8 am, after having breakfast, we have boarded the car, although there is sunshine on this side of the valley, but the air is so cold that it is making the nose and fingers numb. I am sitting in the car wearing gloves and sitting near the mirror, I am letting the sunlight come inside me.
In today's post, I am also posting some photos of the landscapes after crossing Rohtang pass, in which we are seeing the Raja Ghepan mountain of Lahaul, that too with the rising sun. There are some panoramic photos which are describing the glory of Lahaul valley. Some wonderful green scenes which are limited only to Lahaul, beyond this we get to see only bare mountains and snow in the name of vegetation.
While moving ahead, the battery of the mobile gets exhausted, after which I start charging the mobile from the car. After the mobile gets switched off, I cross Naki La and Lachung La passes, whose photos I had to click. I was in regret, but my regret ended when we started driving the car on the straight and 40 km long road of More Plains of Debring. Looking from below, it is visible that it is snowing above.
I am excited and praying that my phone will get charged a little by the time I reach the pass so that I can click some photos. Tanglang La pass is 5319 meters high and was once the highest motorable pass in the world. Tanglang La is 24 km from the end point of Maure Plains. And in this 24 km the car has to face several meters of elevation gain every meter.
Finally we reach the tanglang la pass where fresh snowfall has just stopped, I am excited and feel lucky to see this view. The pass is covered with white snow, in some places it is still falling and in some places it is waiting to fall again. The snow on the road melts quickly while the snow on the mountain still remains and makes the view amazing.
So this is today's journey in which we crossed the Tanglang La pass and witnessed fresh snowfall. Today we drove 311 km and now tomorrow we will reach Leh which is about 150 km from here. So friends, let's meet in tomorrow's post where I will show you Leh. I hope you liked this post.

I can't imagine myself in a place like that, because I've never experienced such cold, but it must be something truly impressive to see....
It looks spectacular the photos, you can feel even the very cold there, also on this side my hands and the tip of my nose can freeze...😄
Beautiful your post.
You should go to a place which is so natural that it captivates our mind. It is really very cold, the temperature here was -7 degrees. In such cold and cold air, the nose keeps running and keeping the clothes dry is the biggest challenge. Thank you for your comment, Best Wishes from Himalaya
The picture you shared is truly extraordinary, this natural scenery is still very natural and extraordinary, it makes me very entertained when I see it.
