Last week, we went to a mountain resort just 2 hours away from the city. I really wanted to go somewhere with family since we rarely go out in a place together even before the pandemic. We were supposed to go here before new year's eve but unfortunately an emergency happened so we had to postpone it. Thankfully, the resort was really nice and understanding so we were able to re-schedule the date without additional costs.
Camp Sabros is a resort located near the highest peak in the Philippines, the Mount Apo.
We rented a car and hired a driver too. None of us have gone here before, so we just looked at the map. The road was okay going there but as we went closer to the resort, it became one-lane. Lol.
When we got there, it was raining lightly so it was way colder than we've expected. We immediately went to the room to settle down.
We rented this upper part of the house - which is the "ground" floor + an attic which is big enough for 10 people.
I like the interior. The vibe is really perfect for the cold mountain haha except that it's also literally cold here. Even inside the house it feels like an AC is turned on, they have no heater either (we don't have that here lol). I kinda wish there was a fireplace so we can experience the cold vibe.
They provided 6 bottled 1 liter water as well but they weren't enough. We had to buy more at the store but I wish they just had 1 big gallon for it. Later that day we bought 6 more but I underestimated it and they weren't enough lol. So at night I was thirsty cos the store was already closed and we ran out of water.
Boiling the water from the faucet won't work either cos the water was slightly yellow. So yeah.
There were 2 big beds in the first floor + 3 in the attic.
Just beside the bed, there was a sliding door that leads to this balcony with a nice view.
This was the view when we got there. We didn't want to stay outside cos of the strong wind + cold with light shower lol.
The attic was nice and really perfect for friends who want to hang out. It has a tv, sofa, and a center table.
At night, we spend our time playing Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate on switch. I know there's gonna be a tv, so I bought the console with the dock and an extra controller. We enjoyed it pretty much lol.
The next morning, this was the view. It was a clear sky but with a stronger wind haha. Like unbelievably strong and you feel like you'll get carried away soon.
Who wouldn't wanna chill there just watching the Mount Apo from afar. <3
The view was better downstairs since you can see the Mount Apo and all the houses better.
You can be dramatic here lol.
A few hours later in the day the weather got better. The mountain was clearer and the sun was up so it was less cold. After breakfast I sat there drinking hot water. There wasn't much network connectivity so not much to be done but get lost in your thoughts. :P
I mean look at that...
This place is good if you want to escape the city. The room per night also was cheap. It was $300 per night for 10 people. Really a good deal especially the maximum capacity is 16 persons if you want to add extra bed. It was worth it. :D
Looks like a cozy spot. :3
It is :3
Congratulations, your post has been added to Pinmapple! 🎉🥳🍍

Escaping the city's stress to this resort is the best option
These shots of yours are really well taken..
Keep it up.. 😊
Thank you!
Like a southern version of Baguio. Damn, I miss going there.
Yeah we were thinking of that too. Though we can't compare cos we've never been to Baguio :D But it's probably as cold or probably Baguio is a lot colder
Whaf a perfect spot to get some rest and peace.
It is definitely! I can only imagine if there's a hammock there in the balcony. Perfeeectttt
It seems to me a very quiet, pleasant place. should be excellent for relaxing from the routine. 💚
It is 100% :D
Love the tiles in the shower and the slanted roofs combined with the full windows!
Yeah! Although the shower in the attic might not be for tall people haha the roof there was not that tall
Haha, yeah it looked like that. So you took showers with your head touching the ceiling? That must have been interesting when washing your hair 😂
Haha them maybe, but I didn't take a shower it was too cold! 🤣 But even if I did I would still probably be ok since I'm small haha
This is really nice!!!! I'll check this out. thanks for introducing this place to your blod.
Hey, this really looks cool, literally :)
No, I mean it, a nice interior and a great view. Too bad the weather didn't play along. Maybe next time?
