Undoubtedly, the Philippines boasts numerous picturesque tourist destinations throughout the country. Today, I would like to take you to Tuburan , a town located in Cebu, where you can experience the breathtaking beauty of the Blue Hole. This place is renowned among both local and international tourists for its stunning scenery, which is just as mesmerizing in person as it is in photographs. I am excited to take you on this adventure as I visit the magnificent Blue Hole in Barangay San Juan, Tuburan, Cebu City, Philippines for the first time.
You can search for the exact location and directions heading towards the Blue Hole through online map applications, it is located in Barangay San Juan, Tuburan, Cebu City Philippines. Let me show you why the place is known to be called Blue Hole.
To tell you honestly, I could not give you the exact directions since we came from a friend's house here in Tuburan and we headed straight right here and it's also my first time to be in the place. Therefore, I am unfamiliar with the directions heading here to the Blue Hole, but if you are in the town of Tuburan proper, you'll just have to ask locals where the Blue Hole is, and then they will do indeed tell you the way. It is a ten-fifteen minute drive from town. We have our motorcyle and from Cebu City, we passed by the Transcentral Highway in Balamban to get here to the town of Tuburan. If you are a public commuter, you can ride a bus from Cebu City North Bus Terminal going to Tuburan.
The view going to Blue Hole is magnificent with trees all around and the sound of chirping birds. Along the way, you will come across fresh springs which indicate you are nearing the Blue Hole location. I was amazed by the wonderful nature and viewed the town's many tourist spots that Cebu City has to offer. As a first-time visitor, I am in awe of the beauty this place has to offer.
Upon arrival, we parked our motorcycle. Although unsure if it was the main parking area, we were able to park for free. Local friends from Tuburan guided us and shared their knowledge of the area. From the motorcycle parking area, we were thrilled to see the Blue Hole from a distance, fueling our excitement to explore it up close.
Upon our arrival at the blue hole, we were greeted by a white sign with the words 'Blue Hole' written on it. We couldn't resist the opportunity to take a photo with the sign, as it was exactly what we had seen on social media.
There are cottages for rent at ₱300 and tables and chairs for ₱110 and an entrance fee of ₱10 each. There is also a small store where you can buy some snacks and soda.

Since I only got out from work and got no sleep when we went here, I managed not to get tempted to swim in the waters of Blue Hole. I know that going swimming when you do not have enough sleep or rest is unhealthy, so I just watched my friends and my partner as well had so much fun swimming, and I just had a few hours' nap while they were enjoying their swim. I really wanted to join them, but as much as I wanted, I just got out from work and had no sleep and got no enough rest. It's not a deal for me to swim; therefore, I just took a nap and relaxed for a few hours, and when it was about time to leave, they just woke me up after a short nap.
If you love immersing yourself in nature while swimming, Blue Hole is the perfect destination for you. Even though I didn't swim on my first visit, I enjoyed experiencing the beautiful surroundings, complete with chirping birds and swishing trees. Next time, I plan to bring more energy and make sure I get plenty of rest so that I can join my friends in swimming, diving, and jumping. If you're looking for a place to connect with nature and enjoy aquatic activities, Blue Hole is the spot for you.

I knew about only the black hole in space but your title makes me curious to see the blue hole, it's a lovely place full of nature and beauty 🤍 i feel fear from swimming hehe and i can't swim in blue hole but yes it's a better place to capture beautiful pictures 😺

I was so much intrigued as well when I learned that there is a place they call Blue Hole and now I understand why it is called that name. I also feel like there are alligators lurking around as I saw the water but thankfully there are none and it is definitely same to swim here. 🙂
