The structure is fantastic, beautiful, I imagine that visiting this architecture must be a wonderful experience, so much history behind it. I think the engraving on the back of the statue is great, quite significant, also I don't know why but at first glance this structure resembles the structures of ancient Greece, or Rome.

Yes, you are totally right it is neoclassical and so they were wanting it to look like classical Greek and Roman.
