RE: The Oktoberfest in Munich, Germany (EN/ESP)

I had heard of Oktoberfest, not paid it much attention tbh, thought it was just a few bierkellers and every one getting lathered.

Thanks for educating me!

It really is a big event and loving it that some folk make the effort and dress accordingly.

Of course, many people go just to get drunk. We have about 6,7 million visitors every year and they drink loooots of beer. I think this year we had a total of 7 million beers sold. You can imagine what that means in party and else :D

But yes, at least Munich /German people all come dressed up in traditional close. You will see it a lot when you go there. - Its even almost a must (at least for us), that's why many tourists try to imitate it. They don't want to stand out of the rest :D

wow thats a hell of a lot of people/beer! I love visiting Germany, but Munich is one place I have never visited,(well i had a connecting flight from there once back to the UK, but that doesn't count LOL) I must get round to it!

Oh yes, thats why we went monday morning to escape from the crowd. You should definitely come here one day. Lots of things to do and places to visit.
