Greetings to the followers of the great @pinmapple community.
Today I want to ask you to join me on a short trip to get into the fields of Sucre state, particularly we will visit a beautiful population of peasants who make that condition a way of life. The photographs that I will show you correspond to the population of Cumanacoa.

Hoy quiero pedirles que me acompañen en un corto viaje para adentrarnos en los campos del estado Sucre, particularmente visitaremos una hermosa población de campesinos que hacen de esa condición un estilo de vida. Las fotografías que les mostraré corresponden a la población de Cumanacoa.
Entering the green spaces that precede the town of Cumanacoa is to live in real time the strong contrasts that differentiate urban life from country life. We appreciate the validity of the traditional architecture in which the natural elements, cane, stones, vines, caked earth, configure and maintain a very close relationship between men and the generous nature that surrounds them.
Ingresar a los verdes espacios que anteceden al poblado de cumanacoa es vivir en tiempo real los fuertes contrastes que diferencian la vida urbana de la vida campestre.
Apreciamos la vigencia de la arquitectura tradicional en la cual los elementos naturales, caña brava, piedras, lianas, tierra apelmazada, configuran y mantienen un tipo de relación muy estrecha de los hombres con la generosa naturaleza que los rodea.
Cumanacoa is an extensive valley of eight thousand hectares. Its territory is limited by imposing mountain ranges that extend to the adjacent states and from where large rivers originate.
With a spring-like climate, any type of agricultural product can be harvested in its lands. The area has been famous for its sugar canes that are refined in a sugar mill and for its rums that have gained a good reputation among tasters.
Cumanacoa es un extenso valle de ocho mil hectáreas. En su territorio está limitado por imponentes cadenas de mosntañas que se extienden hasta los estados adyacentes y de donde nacen grandes ríos.
Con un clima primaveral en sus tierras se puede cosechar cualquier tipo de producto agrícola. La zona ha sido famosa por sus cañas de azúcar que que se refinan en un central azucarero y por sus rones que han ganado buena fama entre los catadores.
The life of the Cumanacoenses revolves around agricultural production. The abundance of the products of the land, pineapples, coconuts, mangos, Creole sweets, arepas, cassava (our ancestral bread), is evident. The satisfaction that such closeness to the purity of nature produces in the people is only comparable to the shared feeling for the immense cultural treasure they possess. Among its inhabitants art flourishes with great naturalness, people take care of and maintain their folkloric traditions. Most of its inhabitants know how to delight others and to delight themselves in the exercise of dance and music.
La vida de los cumanacoenses gira alrededor de la producción agrícola.
La abundancia de los productos de la tierra, piñas, cocos, mangos, dulces criollos, arepas, casabe (nuestro pan ancestral), es evidente. La satisfacción que produce tal cercanía con la pureza de la naturareza en la gente solo es comparable con el sentimiento compartido por inmenso tesoro cultural que poseen. Entre sus habitantes florece el arte con gran naturalidad, la gente cuida y mantiene sus tradiciones folkloricas. La mayoría de sus habitantes saben deleitar a otros y deleitarse a sí mismos en el ejercicio en la danza y de la música.
The town of Cumanacoa has true colonial jewels: The church of San Baltasar de los Arias de Cumanacoa, from 1675, refounded in 1962; in addition to the historical ruins of the convent and church of San Fernando Rey de Cturuntar, from the XVII century; also the monasteries of Aricagua, and San Lorenzo Mártir de Caranapuey, from 1696.
El pueblo de Cumanacoa cuenta con con verdaderas joyas coloniales: La iglesia de San Baltasar de los Arias de Cumanacoa, de 1675, refundada en 1962; además de las ruinas históricas del convento y la iglesia de San Fernando Rey de Cturuntar, del siglo XVII; también los monasterios de Aricagua, y San Lorenzo Mártir de Caranapuey, de 1696.
An essential monument to visit is the church of the town of Arenas, Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, which dates back to 1760 and was refounded in 1967.
We were here before saying goodbye to this beautiful town that keeps as a treasure a sense of belonging to their land with which they honor all their ancestors.
Un monumento imprescindible de conocer es la iglesia del pueblo de Arenas, Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria que data de 1760 y fue refundada en 1967.
Por aqui estuvimos antes de despedirnos de este hermoso pueblo que mantiene como un tesoro un sentido de pertenencia a sus tierras con el cual rinden honor a todos sus antepasados.

Estimada amiga @gracielaacevedo recuerdo en mi época de Docente Supervisor de Planteles Educativos, cuando acudía a tan hermosa población de Cumanacoa, hace muchos años, en los años 2006, lindo lugar donde vive gente muy amiga y cuando observo su publicación recuerdo las distinguidas visitas que realizaba a las escuelas y liceos. Espero tengas muchos éxitos en tu publicación.
Bello post y buenas tomas, me llamó la atención la edificación que dice "Gardel", tiene aspecto de que fue un teatro o cine, ¡saludos!
Cumanacoa? Nunca lo he visitado, viví mucho tiempo en el estado Sucre pero nunca llegue a ir, bueno, tampoco es que viajaba mucho en esa época jejeje.
Realmente es un lugar muy bello y colorido! Sus casas viejas coloniales son increíbles. Se ve que hace calor, o no tanto? Bellas fotos! 🤩✨🙌🙏
