Every now and then the social networks remind me of the trips I made in Tuscany when I went to visit a friend who lives near Florence that time took me to visit the Villa della Petraia a very suggestive place in my opinion located right on a panoramic terrace nearby in Florence.
Perhaps many of you know Florence for all its beautiful monuments that are in the center of the city, but even these little jewels are worth visiting above all because they usually also have a beautiful garden.
I hope that when I am a little freer from work to go back for a more in-depth visit, because that time I made a very quick visit.
This villa underwent a great transformation when it passed under the ownership of the Medici family who in 1587 practically transformed it into a princely residence but in my opinion the best part of this villa is the interior and was also the residence of the Italian royal family of Savoy and they furnished it with truly luxurious furniture.
It is practically embellished with these numerous frescoes which fortunately have arrived still intact to the present day.
This you see above in the photo is the dining room also known as the red room where of course there are beautiful tapestries of Flemish origin and then it was embellished with furniture brought by the Savoy family.
This instead that you always see in the photo is practically a kind of piano, let's say one of the first pianos built in Naples, a very precious and expensive instrument most likely for the time.
Unfortunately, the photos I took at the time are just these. In fact, as I told you, I hope to return precisely because I would like to be able to take more photos of this fantastic villa.
I hope you enjoyed this article and that the few photos that I managed to bring were to your liking so if you are passing by the parts of Florence visit this villa I recommend
