Tung Ka Cafe
We came here on my very first trip to Thailand. It is quite high up on a hill that leads to a little park area. I remembered this place as being crowded with monkeys. This time we saw only one massive macaque jumping around the trees. The rest of the park was empty. We asked a local woman what happened with all the monkeys and she said that there is a feast for Songkran at the nearby temple and the monkeys know and go there too for the food. 😃
To get to the Cafe you walk through a little jungle on a path made of bamboo. It’s pretty nicely decorated on the way and once you get to the restaurant itself.
This boy was scary big.. I don't think I've seen a bigger macaque than this one before.
I really like this little path towards the restaurant. It really sets the mood for being in a jungly and relaxing place.
This was an interesting decoration right at the entrance.
We sat at a table near the edge where you could have a great panoramic view while having lunch. At this time of day the opened area with a view was fully out in the sun, so naturally it was empty.
The view from our table.
Even though it is a “cafe” the food here is really nice and I even remembered what we ordered 4 years ago when I first came here. They serve traditional Thai cuisine and everything we’ve had was super delicious. We also tried different coffees (can’t miss that with Nat in the party 😄).
We went heavy on the seafood with the white fish, crab curry and the sweet and spicy seafood meal that I love so much and always forget the name of..
There is a viewpoint right next to the Cafe which was also empty at the time - due to no tourism and I guess the time (the thing is fully out in the sun).
The view is quite nice and I can only wonder what it looks like at sunset. Maybe if we come back to Phuket one day I'll come back to the viewpoint just to see that.
Delico Coffee and Dessert
Our second stop is at Delico. Here we met with Nat’s dad’s friends again. This place is quite small but pretty unique looking. There’s so much going on with the decorations and even the furniture is different at each table.
At the entrance they sell random decorations and clothing accessories, which was a bit odd but I guess it works for them. 😃
The food and drinks were quite nice. Everything they served us looked pretty unique or nicely organized.
Nat and her dad got the sweet toast with chocolate and ice-cream.
I wanted to be somewhat healthy for once on the trip and had the smoothie option.. ended up finishing the toast in the end cause they couldn't eat it all anyways..
These salmon bites were pretty nice too although I didn't feel like eating anything salty after the big lunch we had.
That was some strange coffee thing Nat ordered (of course, more coffee).
They had to leave something for the kids like me ouside as well.
I prefer the natural places that you have been showing us in your epic travel series but this coffee spot is just breathtaking :)

I do prefer them too but we all have to stop and eat from time to time. ^^
Cool place - when I am on the island, I will definitely look there.
It is a bit far away from the resorts but if you drive or get a taxi it should take you there easily. :)

Great photography. I was hoping to see some more drone shots :))
Thank you! Might be awhile until I get to take some new drone shots I'm afraid. Have to quarantine for a while. 🙃
WOW I really wish to go here someday!
Hope you do! It is a nice place to visit for sure! :)
Always nice photos of food mate. I've just had dinner and i could still do with that smoothie bowl lol
I wouldn't mind having one of these bowls around as well. 😀

Haha I told you, there's way too much to see over here. It's been 2 and a half years and I feel like I've seen only the tip of the iceberg yet. :)
