The rain changed our plans, a different day at Playa El Agua, Margarita Island 🇻🇪[ENG-ESP]

Hello friends @worldmappin, I hope you are having a wonderful weekend and enjoying the company of your loved ones. On this side, we are doing very well, thank God.

Sometimes plans change, and with them come the best surprises. Taking advantage of the fact that my husband's family is spending a few days at home for the holidays, we had planned to visit a small beach that can only be reached by boat or by walking through the mountains. It's a hidden spot that we've always loved. But the day dawned with persistent rain, the kind that doesn't let up. The sky was completely overcast, and it didn't stop raining until after two in the afternoon. It was too late to venture out by boat, as the sea also gets rough and it's not advisable to go out in those weather conditions, so we decided to change course and head to our favorite beach, Playa El Agua.

Living near this beach is a privilege, and although the day started out gray and unusually cold for the island, we wanted to stay close to home in case it rained again, and also because we knew that Playa El Agua never disappoints. When we arrived, the atmosphere was a bit dull, but little by little the sun peeked out from behind the clouds, as if it also wanted to enjoy the sea.

The boys wasted no time jumping into the water. The waves were a little strong, but fortunately there were plenty of attentive lifeguards, which allowed us to relax. The beach was full of life, with tourists who had come to spend Christmas, entire families enjoying the sea, and street vendors offering everything from fresh oysters to ceviche, ice cream, and local crafts. All this hustle and bustle gave the place a festive and cheerful atmosphere.

We settled down near the shore, under a parasol, and simply let ourselves be carried away by the moment. The sound of the waves, the laughter, the smell of the sea and of some empanadas being sold nearby. Everything was perfect for making us forget the bad weather of the morning.

We also got the famous jet skis. The boys have always wanted to ride one of those, but they cost over $35 for just 10 minutes. There are also instructors who offer surfing lessons.

We stayed late, later than usual. We were so comfortable, so at ease, that time seemed to stand still. The service was excellent, the people were friendly, and the atmosphere was unbeatable. It was one of those days when you are grateful for unexpected twists and turns, because they led us to a wonderful experience.

So, friends, I want to recommend that if you ever visit Margarita Island, you can't miss Playa El Agua. It's a place that combines natural beauty, good energy, and hospitality. Although it wasn't our original plan, it ended up being a perfect day, full of joy, flavor, and sea. I even managed to capture some photos of the little sunset that came out.

Hola amigos @worldmappin, espero estén pasando un maravilloso fin de semana y disfrutando de su mejor compañía. Por este lado estamos muy bien gracias a Díos.

A veces los planes cambian y con ellos, llegan las mejores sorpresas. Aprovechando que tenemos a la familia de mi esposo pasando unos días de vacaciones en casa por las vacaciones, teníamos previsto visitar una pequeña playa a la que solo se accede en bote, o caminando por la montaña, es un rincón escondido que siempre nos ha encantado. Pero amaneció con una lluvia persistente, de esas que no dan tregua. El cielo estaba completamente cubierto y no dejó de llover hasta pasadas las dos de la tarde. Ya era muy tarde para aventurarnos en bote, ya que el mar también se pone fuerte y no es conveniente salir con esas condiciones climáticas, así que decidimos cambiar de rumbo y dirigirnos a nuestra playa favorita y está es Playa El Agua.

Vivir cerca de esta playa es un privilegio y aunque el día comenzó gris y con un aire frio poco habitual para la isla, nos quisimos quedar cerca de casa, por si volvía a llover y también porque sabíamos que Playa El Agua nunca decepciona. Al llegar, el ambiente estaba algo opaco, pero poco a poco el sol se fue asomando entre las nubes, como si también quisiera disfrutar del mar.

Los muchachos no tardaron en lanzarse al agua. Las olas estaban un poco fuertes, pero afortunadamente había muchos salvavidas atentos, lo que nos dio tranquilidad para relajarnos. La playa estaba llena de vida, turistas que habían venido a pasar las navidades, familias enteras disfrutando del mar y vendedores ambulantes ofreciendo desde ostras frescas hasta ceviches, helados y artesanías locales. Todo ese bullicio le daba un aire festivo y alegre al lugar.

Nos instalamos cerca de la orilla, bajo una sombrilla y simplemente nos dejamos llevar por el momento. El sonido de las olas, las risas, el aroma del mar y de unas empanadas que vendían al lado. todo era perfecto para hacernos olvidar el mal tiempo de la mañana.

También conseguimos las famosas motos de agua, los muchachos siempre han querido montarse en una de esas pero su costo esta sobre los 35$ apenas 10 minutos. También hay profesores que ofrecen clases de surfing.

Nos quedamos hasta tarde, más de lo habitual. Estábamos tan cómodos, tan a gusto, que el tiempo pareció detenerse. La atención fue excelente, la gente amable y el ambiente, inmejorable. Fue uno de esos días en los que uno agradece los giros inesperados, porque nos llevaron a vivir una experiencia maravillosa.

Por eso amigos, les quiero recomendar que si alguna vez visitan la Isla de Margarita, no pueden dejar de conocer Playa El Agua. Es un lugar que combina belleza natural, buena energía y hospitalidad. Aunque no era nuestro plan original, terminó siendo un día perfecto, lleno de alegría, sabor y mar. Incluso pude capturar algunas fotos del poco atardecer que salió.
