Una visita imperdible en Buenos Aires: El Jardín Japonés

English Version 🇬🇧

If someone who has never visited the City of Fury (Buenos Aires) were to ask me what is the best time to travel and get to know it, I would definitely recommend this month of March.

It is no coincidence that our family always chooses this date to visit this city. With the arrival of autumn in the southern hemisphere, the days become cooler, the sun friendlier and the city, along with all its amenities, is less congested with national, local and worldwide tourists converging at the same time to take advantage of the famous, bustling and crowded summer holidays.

From March onwards, for me, it is the perfect time to avoid the crowds and enjoy the relative serenity that the city offers.

Today I want to focus on showing you or sharing with you some images of the Japanese Garden as part of our holiday tour in this beautiful city.

This beautiful corner, which evokes the magnificence of Japan's imperial gardens of old, is located in Palermo and is said to be one of the largest gardens made outside the Japanese nation.

It was built in honour and commemoration of the visit to Argentina of the Emperor of Japan Akihito and his wife in 1967.

In contrast to the traffic, the chaos and the jungle of buildings and concrete, we find this place that radiates charm, order and the simplicity characteristic of the minimalism of Japanese culture.

Of course, you will encounter the lush flora and some of the fauna characteristic of these gardens. Along the way, you'll come across kokedama, bonsai, orchids, wooden bridges across small lakes teeming with Koi fish, and even a giant chessboard!

It also has typical infrastructures that make up a cultural complex. Here you will find a tea house, a shop where you can buy souvenirs and everything you need to carry out this fascinating ritual. There are also rooms where occasional courses are given or exhibitions are held on this practice, following Japanese traditions.

Impressive, it's so strange to imagine that it is in Buenos Aires 😂
I happened to see other Japanese gardens here in Europe and I find it a kind of strange experience. I saw it in Toulouse and Pamplona, respectively in France and Spain. Very nice thing... I hope to see at least one of them in Japan sooner or later 😆
Thank you for showing this moment!

Yes, it's surprising, especially because you come from the hustle and bustle and chaos of the city centre, the traffic, the horns, and suddenly you enter this Zen corner in the middle of it all.

Inside it is spectacular.

I see you making your dream of visiting Japan come true.

Thank you for your support.

I totally agree :)

I fully agree. It is also said to be one of the largest and most well thought out in the world, second only to Japan, of course.
