SUMATRA.🐋

Sumatra is the sixth-largest island in the world, located in Indonesia, with an area of 473,481 km². The island's population is approximately 57,940,351.

Sumatra Island consists of 10 provinces including Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Riau Islands, Jambi, Bengkulu, South Sumatra, Bangka Belitung, and Lampung.

Whales are large, lung-breathing, warm-blooded aquatic mammals that give birth and nurse their young, not fish. The term "whale" generally refers to large marine mammals of the order Cetacea, including baleen whales (filter-feeders) and toothed whales (such as sperm whales and orcas), which evolved from land mammals and now inhabit the world's oceans, with the blue whale being the largest animal on Earth.

Heavy rain accompanied by extreme weather.

Heavy rain accompanied by extreme weather began to fall in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra since November 25, 2025. According to BMKG monitoring, the causes of the extreme weather include the development of a tropical cyclone system and cyclone seeds around the Malacca Strait and Sulu Sea, which triggered heavy rain and strong winds in several areas of Sumatra.

I will show some photos that happened in Aceh province. I took these photos from several TikTok accounts.

A resident who saved himself on the roof of the house, while watching the house being swept away by the strong current.

Several residents' houses were submerged.

An elderly couple, saved themselves together with their pet goat.

In a dire situation, anything can be a lifesaver.

Even this big car almost sank.

Illegally logged wood is carried by the water current.

This house was swept away by the current.

This mosque still stands strong.

They were struggling to save themselves by climbing a tree.

Look, the water in front of this house is very deep.

A district in Aceh Utara.

A district in Bener Meriah.

At this location, the house only has a roof visible.

Look, this vehicle is sinking with mud carried by the water.

A forest that has become mud.

And this.

Some cows also had difficulties.

Look this.

And this.

The resident climbed onto the shop.

Many bridges were destroyed, this is one of them.

Look, everyone is carried away by the current.

The current was very strong, and the water was very high on November 26, 2025.

At some other points, the water was only up to an adult's waist.

Photo with a drone, when the water has receded.

This car was once submerged.

Other areas were affected.

This is the broken Kuta Blang bridge, located in Bireuen district, Aceh province.

A village that was affected, and left behind high mud.

Look at the condition.

Look at the condition.

Sumatra, Indonesia, has been experiencing heavy rain for a week, with no end in sight. Flash floods and landslides are being caused by illegal logging, which has destroyed millions of hectares of tropical forests. To date, this disaster has not been declared a national disaster by the Indonesian president. Several provinces in Sumatra remain isolated, without aid for over a week, but some have received logistical assistance.

A closing sentence, Look at everything as if you were seeing it for the first or last time, and your time on earth will be full of glory.
