[ESP/ENG] Cracovia, Polonia

Hola a todos! espero que estén bien! en nuestros fines de semanas de paseo y después de varios meses, Pawel y yo decidimos visitar de nuevo la ciudad de Cracovia en Polonia, realmente no teníamos planeado ir allí, de hecho se nos ocurrió porque teníamos muchas ganas de comer el Kebab que venden allí y por eso decidimos ir, además que así aprovechabamos para pasear un poco por algunos lugares de esta hermosa ciudad. Entonces, pusimos marcha y nos tomó un poco más de una hora desde casa o desde Sosnowiec en llegar.

Hi everyone! hope you are well! on our weekends outing and after several months, Pawel and I decided to visit again the city of Krakow in Poland, we didn't really plan to go there, in fact it occurred to us because we really wanted to eat the Kebab they sell there and that's why we decided to go, plus that way we could take the opportunity to walk around a little bit in some places of this beautiful city. So, we set off and it took us a little over an hour from home or from Sosnowiec to get there.

En el camino pasamos por el aeropuerto de Cracovia y justamente un avión estaba aterrizando en ese instante, recuerdo que me puso un poco melancólica porque hace 10 meses estaba aterrizando en ese mismo aeropuerto para comenzar mi nueva vida en Polonia y extrañé mucho los encuentros de despedida con mi hermana @esthefanychacin y mi amiga @keritroberts (porque sí, fueron varios jajaja), pero está bien, algún día ellas también van a aterrizar allí para venir a visitarnos a Olivia y a mí jajaja.

On the way we passed by Krakow airport and just a plane was landing at that moment, I remember it made me a bit melancholic because 10 months ago I was landing at that same airport to start my new life in Poland and I missed a lot the farewell meetings with my sister @esthefanychacin and my friend @keritroberts (because yes, there were several hahaha), but it's ok, someday they will also land there to come and visit Olivia and me hahaha.

Antes de ir allí, estabamos un poco indecisos sobre si deberiamos ir en el tren o en el carro pues conseguir un estacionamiento cerca del centro es un poco difícil y también puede ser caro, sin embargo Pawel consiguió uno que aunque no estaba tan cerca del centro de la ciudad, fue bastante bueno en precio, y además desde allí podíamos tomar el transporte público, así que estacionamos, y tomamos el tranvía.

Before going there, we were a bit undecided whether we should go by train or by car as getting a parking space near the center is a bit difficult and can also be expensive, however Pawel got one that although not so close to the city center, was quite good in price, and also from there we could take public transportation, so we parked, and took the streetcar.

La cara que vieron arriba es la de una chica con mucha hambre y que además tenía demasiado calor, pues ese día estaba haciendo 32°C con sensación de 35°C, y a lo demás agreguenle que estoy embarazada y todo eso me estresaba un poco sin embargo estaba feliz de estar ahí. Ahora bien, lo primero que hicimos fue ir al restaurante Kebab Pod 13, para ello, después del tranvía, tomamos el autobus y solo a unos cuantos pasos de la parada estabamos en el lugar donde comeriamos el delicioso Kebab.

The face you saw above is that of a very hungry girl who was also very hot, because that day it was 32°C with a sensation of 35°C, and add to that that I am pregnant and all that stressed me a little bit but I was happy to be there. Now, the first thing we did was to go to the Kebab Pod 13 restaurant, for this, after the streetcar, we took the bus and just a few steps from the stop we were at the place where we would eat the delicious Kebab.

Lo bueno de este lugar es que nos dieron las bebidas con bastante hielo pues creo que ese es un problema para mí (una chica latina que aunque haga frío o calor, prefiere las bebidas con hielo) y en Polonia que a pesar de que hace demasiado calor, conseguir bebidas con suficiente hielo o incluso con hielo (sin pedirlo) a veces es difícil. Por dos kebabs y dos bebidas pagamos 85,80 zlotys (aproximadamente 22 dólares) y al salir del restaurante, justo al lado, hay una heladería en la que aprovechamos para comer un delicioso helado de parchita o maracuya que también ayudó a refrescarnos.

The good thing about this place is that they gave us drinks with plenty of ice as I think that is a problem for me (a Latin girl that even if it is cold or hot, prefers drinks with ice) and in Poland that even though it is too hot, getting drinks with enough ice or even with ice (without asking for it) is sometimes difficult. For two kebabs and two drinks we paid 85.80 zlotys (approximately 22 dollars) and when leaving the restaurant, right next door, there is an ice cream shop where we took the opportunity to eat a delicious parchita or maracuya ice cream that also helped to cool us down.

Después del helado estabamos indecisos si seguir paseando o volver a casa, ya que realmente el calor estaba bastante insoportable, sin embargo convencí a Pawel para ir a la plaza de mercado de la ciudad aprovechando que estabamos en Cracovia y así hacer un par de fotos de lindas, pero antes decidimos comprar dos grandes botellas de agua para mantenernos hidratados porque realmente lo necesitabamos, así que aprovechamos de comprarla en una tienda cerca que estaba abierta este día domingo.

After the ice cream we were undecided whether to continue walking or go back home, as the heat was really quite unbearable, however I convinced Pawel to go to the market square of the city taking advantage that we were in Krakow and take a couple of nice pictures, but before we decided to buy two big bottles of water to keep us hydrated because we really needed it, so we took the opportunity to buy it in a nearby store that was open this Sunday.

Para ir hasta la plaza de mercado, tuvimos que tomar de nuevo el transporte por solo un par de minutos y ya estabamos allí, viendo unos hermosos edificios. El que ven arriba es la lonja de los paños, que se llama así porque según antes vendían telas pero ahora solo venden souvenirs (recuerdo esto porque compré algunos allí en mi primer viaje a Polonia de hace un año) y abajo la hermosa Basílica de Santa María y yo en frente.

To go to the market square, we had to take the shuttle again for only a couple of minutes and we were there, looking at some beautiful buildings. The one you see above is the cloth market, so called because they used to sell cloth but now they only sell souvenirs (I remember this because I bought some there on my first trip to Poland a year ago) and below is the beautiful Basilica of St. Mary and me in front of it.

Habían muchos bares o restaurantes abiertos, además de muchas personas con cara de estresados por el calor y paseando como nosotros. Abajo ven la iglesia de San Adalberto, ubicada allí mismo, y donde además puedo recordar un pequeño museo con la historia de la Plaza del Mercado de Cracovia, ahora no entramos a ninguno de estos lugares pero antes si lo conocimos y recuerdo que solo por unos pocos zlotys entramos allí a conocer la historia.

There were many bars or restaurants open, plus many people looking stressed by the heat and strolling like us. Below you see the church of St. Adalbert, located right there, and where I can also remember a small museum with the history of the Krakow Market Square, now we do not enter any of these places but before if we knew it and I remember that only for a few zlotys we entered there to know the history.

Después de un par de fotos, decidimos volver, así que para esto, necesitabamos tomar el transporte hasta el parqueadero otra vez, en la parada decidimos esperar el autobus en la sombra y allí vimos una reunión de unas lindas palomas. Tomamos el autobus pero también decidimos hacer una pequeña parada en el camino para conocer un lugar que tenía muchas ganas de ver, se trata del Parque Zakrzówek y como ven muchas personas también iban allí como nosotros.

After a couple of photos, we decided to go back, so for this, we needed to take the transport up to the park to another time, at the stop we decided to wait for the bus in the shade and there we saw a meeting of a pigeon pigeons. We take the bus but also decided to make a small stop on the way to meet a place that had many want to see, it comes to the Park Zakrzówek and as you see many people also went there like us.

Sí, esta hermosura que ven abajo, un lugar increíble y perfecto para visitar en este día tan soleado, donde había mucha gente y es que era de esperarse. El parque Zakrzówek tiene 5 piscinas, ubicadas cerca de una espectacular laguna en lo que era anteriormente una cantera, con entrada totalmente gratuita. La verdad es que una vez allí tenía muchas ganas de darme un baño en este lugar, pero no teníamos nuestros trajes de baños, pero quizá otro día volvamos allí para hacerlo.

Yes, this beauty that you see below, an incredible and perfect place to visit on this sunny day, where there were many people and it was to be expected. The Zakrzówek park has 5 pools, located near a spectacular lagoon in what was formerly a quarry, with totally free entrance. The truth is that once there I really wanted to take a bath in this place, but we did not have our bathing suits, but maybe another day we will go back there to do it.

Finalmente y ahora sí llegó la hora de volver a casa, al salir nos dimos cuenta que realmente este parque es grande, con algunos senderos y además creo que algún lugar para tomar algo al frente, entre otras áreas, pero no se preocupen, prometo que si un día vuelvo aquí les mostraré el lugar con más detalle y también prometo darme un chapuzón. Entonces volvimos a tomar el transporte hasta el parqueadero, pagamos nuestra tasa y volvimos a casa desde Cracovia por un camino diferente y que según es más corto y además hay dos peajes.

Finally and now it was time to go back home, when we left we realized that this park is really big, with some trails and I think some place to have a drink in front, among other areas, but don't worry, I promise that if one day I come back here I will show you the place in more detail and I also promise to take a dip. Then we took the shuttle back to the parking lot, paid our fee and returned home from Krakow by a different road which according to them is shorter and there are two tolls.

Dos peajes que no les recomiendo pues tuvimos que pagar 15 zlotys en cada uno, lo cual nos molestó un poco porque no sabíamos esto, pero bueno, ya sabemos para una proxima oportunidad. Eso fue todo por hoy, espero que les haya gustado nuestro paseo por la hermosa ciudad de Cracovia en este gran día soleado jaja, nos vemos en un proximo post. Saludos!

Two tolls that I do not recommend because we had to pay 15 zlotys each, which annoyed us a little because we did not know this, but well, we know for a next time.
