Tal como indica el título de este post **Viaje - Aventuras en la nieve** es un episodio que no olvidaremos en nuestra familia, porque pudimos compartir momentos entrañables y difíciles de lograr en estos tiempos.

Estando en Barcelona nos propusimos hacer un viaje a Andorra en familia para que los niños conocieran la nieve.
Un viaje épico de diez personas desde los 8 meses hasta los 71 años, pasando por todas las edades y generaciones. Cada individuo con sus propios intereses. La verdad íbamos dispuestos a que podíamos encontrarnos con cualquier cosa.

While in Barcelona we decided to take a family trip to Andorra for the kids to get to know the snow.
An epic trip of ten people from 8 months to 71 years old, passing through all ages and generations. Each individual with their own interests. The truth is that we were prepared to encounter anything.

Listos y decididos a compartir y crear una amalgama de sentimientos que en el futuro forme parte de nuestros más hermosos recuerdos.
Emprendimos esta ansiada aventura. Los planes eran inicialmente salir en dos vehículos entre 7.00 y 8.00 de la mañana, una franja amplia para coordinar cada detalle.
No se pudo cumplir la hora de salida porque siempre surgen imprevistos, pero un rato más tarde ya estábamos en camino.
En esta aventura yo soy la penúltima en rango de edad y no pienso opinar ni decidir nada. Voy como espectadora en este proceso vital que algunos comienzan.
Hace años cuando me tocaba coordinar y decidir los viajes con los niños pequeños era otra cosa.
Los detalles de esos viajes se han ido difuminando en el tiempo y solo recuerdo lo que pudimos inmortalizar en fotos y uno que otro detalle puntual.
Este momento quiero disfrutarlo atrapando los pormenores, observando lo que los otros aún no saben ver.
Esta visión un tanto efímera la descubrí cuando me di cuenta de que yo, ya no soy tan necesaria como antes para los demás, entonces comenzó mi momento.
Un momento de análisis, meditación y observación de lo que me rodea.
Finalmente, salimos a las 9.00 am.
Primera parada Oliana, un municipio español de la provincia de Lérida y allí nos detuvimos en el bar Palau donde desayunamos y aseamos al bebe para continuar el viaje.

Ready and determined to share and create an amalgam of feelings that will remain as a great memory in the future.
We embarked on this long-awaited adventure.The plans were initially to leave in two vehicles between 7.00 and 8.00 in the morning, a wide range to coordinate every detail.
The departure time could not be met because unforeseen events always arise, but a while later we were on our way.
In this adventure I am the penultimate in age range and I do not intend to give my opinion or decide anything. I go as a spectator in this vital process that some begin.
Years ago when I had to coordinate and decide the trips with small children it was another thing.
The details of those trips have faded with time and I only remember what we were able to immortalize in photos and one or two details.
I want to enjoy this moment catching the details, observing what others still do not know how to see.
I discovered this somewhat ephemeral vision when I realized that I am no longer as necessary as before for others, then my moment began.
A moment of analysis, meditation and observation of my surroundings.
Finally, we left at 9.00 am.
First stop Oliana, a Spanish town in the province of Lérida and there we stopped at the bar Palau where we had breakfast and washed the baby to continue the journey.

Seguidamente, pasamos por el embalse de Oliana, que pertenece al río Segre.
El camino transcurre como una sinuosa carretera con pueblos que van surgiendo cada pocos kilómetros.
Uno de ellos fue Orgañá, población situada en la comarca pirenaica del Alto Urgel.
Supe que su población no alcanza las 1000 personas y me llamó la atención que cada árbol del lugar estaba decorado de navidad. En estos pueblos tan pequeños se aprecia la participación de sus habitantes en crear un espacio entrañable y único.

Next, we pass the Oliana reservoir, which belongs to the river Segre.
The road runs as a winding road with villages that emerge every few kilometers.
One of them was Orgañá, a town located in the Pyrenean region of Alto Urgel.
I learned that its population does not reach 1000 people and I was struck by the fact that every tree in the place was decorated with Christmas decorations. In these small villages you can appreciate the participation of its inhabitants in making the place an endearing and unique space.

Durante el trayecto vimos muchas cabañas rurales, casas de piedra para proteger a sus habitantes del frío. También vacas y ovejas pastando en su entorno natural y paisajes campestres muy hermosos.

Al llegar a Andorra nos dirigimos al punto de encuentro y decidimos que fuera en la Illa un centro comercial que además de contar con muchas tiendas dispone de un centro de información para turistas y allí nos hablaron de las opciones a seguir para el día siguiente si en realidad queríamos disfrutar de la nieve, ya que esa era nuestra intención de viaje.
Ese día lo pasamos paseando con los chicos y compartiendo su alegría.

When we arrived in Andorra we went to the meeting point and decided to go to the Illa, a shopping center that in addition to having many stores has an information center for tourists and there we were told about the options to follow for the next day if we really wanted to enjoy the snow, since that was our intention of the trip.
We spent that day walking with the kids and sharing their joy.

En la noche, mientras paseábamos por la ciudad bajo la lluvia, nos cruzamos con una escultura de Dalí y no pude dejarla pasar. Está situada en una de las tantas rotondas y es un poco complicado tomar una buena fotografía sin que se cruce algún vehículo, pero aun así pude obtener una buena muestra.

At night while walking through the city in the rain we came across a sculpture of Dalí and I couldn't pass it up. It is located in one of the many traffic circles and it is a bit complicated to take a good picture without crossing any vehicle but I still managed to get a good sample.

Para tomar la decisión acerca de cuál era la mejor forma de ir a la nieve había varias alternativas, algunas bastante extremas para complacer a un grupo familiar tan diverso.
No podíamos tomar un teleférico durante 25 minutos con un bebé pequeño, tampoco ir a una pista de esquí, así que decidimos ir al sector de Grau Roig en Grandvalira a 2120 metros de altura. Muy cerca de la frontera francesa y allí nos esperaba el lugar ideal.
Emprendimos el camino hacia Grau Roig y a la salida de Andorra la Vella nos despidió otra escultura que logré fotografiar desde el auto.

To make the decision about which was the best way to go to the snow there were several alternatives, some quite extreme to please such a diverse family group.
We could not take a cable car for 25 minutes with a small baby, nor go to a ski slope, so we decided to go to the Grau Roig sector in Grandvalira at 2120 meters above sea level. Very close to the French border and there the ideal place was waiting for us.
We took the road to Grau Roig and at the exit of Andorra la Vella another sculpture that I managed to photograph from the car.

El trayecto hasta ver la nieve por primera vez fue bastante corto, estábamos muy cerca y a pocos minutos ya pudimos apreciar algunos espacios nevados. Unos minutos después se abrió frente a nosotros la maravilla blanca de la naturaleza.
Poco a poco el paisaje fue cambiando. Las nubes muy densas creaban un ambiente sobrecogedor.

Consideramos que fue acertada la elección de Grau Roig, ya que todos nos divertimos en la nieve deslizándonos por una pequeña pendiente sobre trineos. Hasta el bebé encontró fascinante esta aventura y cuando no lo deslizaban se entristecía pidiendo más.

We felt that Grau Roig was the right choice, as we all had fun in the snow sliding down a small slope on sleds. Even the baby found this adventure fascinating and when he didn't slide he was sad asking for more.

Pasamos unas cuatro horas divirtiéndonos en la nieve. Es una sensación muy agradable, la verdad es que con tanta actividad no sentimos frío.

We spent about four hours having fun in the snow. It is a very pleasant sensation, the truth is that with so much activity we did not feel cold.

No habíamos previsto que en esos sitios está siempre todo reservado. Preguntamos en dos localidades y no resultó, pero al tercer intento tuvimos suerte y llegamos a **La Cabaneta de Canilló**. Nos prepararon una gran mesa y atacamos los alimentos con muchas ganas luego del gran esfuerzo físico.

After having spent so much energy exercising in the snow, we were all hungry and again we had to look for a place to eat. We had not foreseen that in those places everything is always reserved. We asked in two places and it didn't work out, but on the third attempt we were lucky and arrived at **La Cabaneta de Canilló**. They prepared a big table for us and we attacked the food with a lot of desire after the great physical effort.

La atención en este restaurante fue excelente y hasta nos solucionaron algunos problemas que surgieron estando allí. Si algún día tienen la oportunidad de conocerlo, no dejen de hacerlo.
Tan solo nos quedaban algunas horas para disfrutar de esta aventura, pero algunos necesitábamos descansar. Así que nos separamos para que cada quién realizara las actividades a su ritmo y al siguiente día procedimos a preparar el regreso a casa.
Habíamos programado otra parada durante el camino de vuelta y esta sería en
la Hipica II la Pedra Blanca, un restaurante ubicado en Prats i Sansor donde los niños podían darle de comer a los caballos. Mi hijo había concertado un reencuentro con un amigo de la universidad que estaba en la zona y compartimos con él y su familia gratos momentos.

The service at this place was excellent and they even solved some problems that arose while we were there. If you ever have the opportunity to visit it, do not miss it.
We only had a few hours left to enjoy this adventure but some of us needed to rest. So we separated so that everyone could do the activities at their own pace and the next day we proceeded to prepare for the return home.
We had scheduled another stop on the way back and this one would be at the **Hipica II la Pedraza
la Hipica II la Pedra Blanca, a restaurant located in Prats i Sansor where the children could feed the horses. My son had arranged a reunion with a friend from college who was in the area and we shared some great moments with him and his family.
