Scholl is a well known brand and also high quality. The upper part is made to genuine leather. It's expensive but it is for a reason. Rubber can't hold your weight properly, you need a solid lower part, for which wood is perfect.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. The rubber designed-wears here normally flatten out in a short time span and the under eats away fast because of friction in movement.
