This is a wonderful way to get around, for sure! I love going by train unless I am going by the power of my own vehicle. Then I can stop anytime I want for a minute or an hour. The Death Railway Bridge and Rive Kwai is such a great shot. Then the story of all those deaths at construction and the shots of the rails, just perfect! Those cabins were awesome! For $25.00 that was a real steal! I wanted to jump through and share dinner with you and just to see those beautiful lotus flowers... stunning. It didn't surprise me one bit to see a temple there, I actually expected some type of temple for those that perished.
That was a pretty big Museum for the Vietnam War. The temples are so many and varied in Thailand. I am always in awe! The money tree has such a wonderful shape to it. Is that their real name? :) That certainly was a wonderful weekend! I just love going around with you! You make a fun time for all of us! This was a perfect post and I want to thank you for being a part of #MarketFriday! I cannot tell you how pleased I am to see so many participating every week. I have learned so much about the different cultures of the world, especially the small things that go unnoticed except by those looking for it. Life is interesting, wherever you are, whatever you are doing.
#MarketFriday began as a way to reach out across the globe and learn about different cultures through their markets, especially local markets and farmers markets and eventually branching out and evolving over time from straight shopping to a cultural affair as it highlights how we differ and then again, how much we are alike. We have become a melting pot of culture, but, it is still the Rituals, Festivals, food, architecture, even your language/languages that separate us. I can only hope that learning about each other can help us work together for a peaceful world. Anyone reading this can learn how to be a part!
Fridays are all about the #MarketFriday Challenge! Looking to take part in it? Here is how:
