Hi Aaron, it made me feel nostalgic, reading your post. We lived in Bantayan in 2017 for more than 2 months in an experimental living situation with the intention of possibly moving on the island for good. The first 2 weeks, we stayed in a beach front cottage in Santa Fe (now known as Sunrise Beach Resort after its huge renovation) for 2 weeks and then we moved to a long term apartment rental (whose name I couldn't remember) and stayed there for 2 months. It was an eye opening experience. It made us appreciate many comforts from our city life that we have taken for granted. What we do miss are the daily walks along pristine white beach. It's a destination we would like to visit again someday.

Wow! That’s nice to know that you guys experienced the laid-back life of Bantayan Island. I could definitely imagine myself doing what you guys had originally intended. I always look foreard to days away from the busy city, because as you saud, it enables you to acknowledge the things we easily take for granted.

It's interesting how life takes us to places we haven't planned on going or settling but we end up there anyway and loving it. Well done and congrats on the feature 😊
