Maybe not when you are going down, but for sure when you are coming back up!
You know, the older I get, the more true the reverse seems: going down has become the hard part! But maybe that is just me. A lifetime of jogging might have made my knees especially sensitive. Anyway, if I can ever start traveling again, maybe in a few years when the kids get older, remind me to visit some of the temples here with a number of stairs to dwarf that. There is one famous temple I remember that I had to climb over 1000 stairs (a fact they happily told on multiple signs along the way)
Anyway, great photos and looks like a great place.
I think I have been on more stairs than this, but I can't remember when. With @mrsbozz recent injury to her ankle, she had more pain going down than up. I've got a bad knee right now and I am not sure I would be able to make this trip again until that heals up. I think I have seen some of those temple stairs. Given the elevation, I know it would be rough. Even Red Rocks was tough due to the altitude.
