Getting warmer this coming April? Come and you can get a taste of mother nature at Libuacan Cold Spring in Tagbina, Surigao del Sur.

Hi hivers! On my 11th blog, I am going to show you one of the best cold spring in Surigao.

Libuacan Cold Spring is a serene, and peaceful refuge. It is a relaxing environment that will provide a breath of fresh air to its visitors. The water is alkaline, transparent, and extremely cold. This spring is the ideal time to decompress if you're going through a difficult time, or simply to spend time with friends and loved ones in a relaxing but gorgeous environment.

The spring itself isn't that deep because the stream's bottom could already be seen. The Libuacan underground cave, on the other hand, is a different tale. The spring's custodian mentioned that American divers attempted to estimate the depth of the water source, an underground cave, but they only got as far as 95 feet.

As you can see, the lagoon is crowded, yet it is still beautiful to explore and experience nature while unwinding.

The water was well worth the effort. It was deep, but not excessively so; it's around 4.5 feet deep, and much deeper towards the source. It is also quite cool and very fresh. It came from a spring beneath the ground. The bottom of the stream can be seen, therefore it appears to be shallow.

The cool water is quite soothing. When you dip your foot in the water, it's like casting a magic that makes you swim.

Swimming is pleasant in this frigid spring. This spot was created by Mother Nature, and you can drink the water from the spring's bottom. It's nice to relax in the water and replenish your body. Anytime you wish, you can leap into the water. This spring, though, there is a lot of room for improvement. Because, the region lacked any kind of structure.

It's worth noting that the locals rely on it for drinking water.

It was a fantastic experience for me. Swimming is nice in the cold spring water that flows freely. The area has been lightly renovated, with houses or tiny tables replacing many of the paved spaces. By the way, there isn't a restroom or a changing area nearby, so you'll have to get creative. Not suitable for an overnight stay. I've been here four times. Still fantastic!

The picnic tables and chairs are available for rent. Which is probably between P50 and P150. One thing to remember is that if you don't wear slippers, you will feel for your feet after swimming because there are some sharp stones under the water. Aside from that, the house is fantastic.

They've constructed concrete steps that lead down to the creek, as well as a wooden bridge that connects the two sides. They also strung a rope across the stream, which has a very strong current. A cottage near the entrance houses the barangay representative, who accepts donations in lieu of the admission fee.

Only a stand-alone store is across the street, and a few habal-habal drivers are waiting for passengers to return to the national highway. As a result, there is less commotion.

The location resembles a wonderland, with icy cold water calming your weary hearts.

The location is stunning, which helps to relieve stress. In any case, I could suggest it to you. Swear! It was extremely cold, like ice water.

What is the best way to get to Libuacan Cold Spring?
From Bislig City to Tagbina, turn right at the school on the intersection of the national highway, then left at Libuacan cool spring.

You can ask for Barangay Maglambing, however using Google Maps would be more convenient. You won't miss it if you type in "Libuacan Cold Spring."
If you don't have a car, exit the highway at Barangay Maglambing's school. For P15 each, you can take a habal-habal from the national highway to Libuacan.

This has the potential to be a leading eco-tourism destination in this area.
Surigao, wow!

I don't know if you have adjusted the blue water color a lot, if that blue water color is really like that it is a treasure.
I also often go to different streams and waterfalls, but a cold spring never had a chance to try

Adjusted the color of the water? No. Thats really the color because the water is pure alkaline.💙

Great. Hope the government will organize the tourism exploitation of it well and keep its natural beauty

Wow, that is a most beautiful spot. Amazing what Mother nature provides. I can't believe how crystal clear the water is.

Thank you 😊
