Weekend at the beach // Fin de semana en la playa (ENG) (ESP)

Today I come to tell you about another beautiful place in Venezuela. One of the many beaches I have been able to go to. In January 2019 I was able to go to the beach for a weekend thanks to the invitation of a friend's parents. We all met early to take the bus to my friend's grandmother's house located in Puerto Cabello, Carabobo State.

El día de hoy vengo a contarles sobre otro bello lugar de Venezuela. Una de tantas playas a las que he podido ir. En enero del año 2019 pude ir un fin de semana a la playa gracias a la invitación de los padres de una amiga. Nos encontramos todos temprano para tomar el autobús hacia la casa de la abuela de mi amiga ubicado en Puerto Cabello, Estado Carabobo.

On that occasion we went besides my friend and her parents, my boyfriend, a friend and another friend, a friends trip was an excellent plan for a weekend. After an hour's drive we arrived at grandma's house, there we left our things and went out to buy food for the weekend and snacks, it was a very sunny and hot day and we wanted to get to the beach quickly, after shopping we returned and in the street there was a beautiful white cat and as I love animals so much I decided to take a picture with the cat.

En esa ocasión fuimos aparte de mi amiga y sus padres, mi novio, una amiga y otro amigo, un viaje de amigos fue un plan excelente para un fin de semana. Después de 1hora de camino llegamos a la casa de la abuela, ahí dejamos nuestras cosas y salimos a comprar alimentos para el fin de semana y botanas,era un día con mucho sol y caluroso y queríamos llegar rápido a la playa, después de hacer las compras volvimos y en la calle había un gato blanco hermoso y como me encantan tantos los animales decidí tomarme una foto con el gato.

After a while my friend's dad was looking for a cab to take us to the beach house where we were going to stay but for some strange reason there were no cabs, we spent more than an hour calling and looking and nothing. We needed two cabs because of the luggage we were carrying and because we were seven people and our budget for the cab was only enough to pay for one.

Pasado un rato el papá de mi amiga estuvo buscando un taxi, que nos llevara a la casa de la playa donde íbamos a quedarnos pero por alguna extraña razón no habían taxis, pasamos más de una hora llamando y buscando y nada. Necesitábamos dos taxis debido al equipaje que llevábamos y que eramos siete personas y nuestro presupuesto para el taxi solo nos alcanzaba para pagar uno.

My friend's father found a cab and there we women went with the luggage and food and the men still did not know how to get there, after a few minutes they arrived, but we got a surprise when we arrived at the place, as there was no electricity and the manager of the place said that possibly would not arrive throughout the weekend, We all looked worried because it had cost us a lot of money and effort to get there that day, we asked if we could stay even without electricity, he said yes, so we decided to take that adventure without electricity.

El padre de mi amiga encontró un taxi y ahí nos fuimos las mujeres con el equipaje y la comida y los hombres no sabían aun como llegar, al cabo de unos minutos llegaron ellos, pero nos llevamos una sorpresa al llegar al lugar, ya que no había energía eléctrica y el encargado del lugar dijo que posiblemente no llegaría en todo el fin de semana, que volviéramos el próximo viernes, todos nos miramos preocupados ya que nos había costado mucho dinero y esfuerzo llegar allí ese día, preguntamos si podíamos hospedarnos aún sin energía eléctrica, nos dijo que si, así que decidimos tomar esa aventura sin energía eléctrica.

We left our things in the beach house and sat on the sand since the house was in front of the sea. So we spent the afternoon laughing and watching the sea, at night everything became more difficult, as we could not find the things to cook, bathe etc. and there were many mosquitoes for being a coastal area, but among all these complications the beautiful sunset and sunrise made up for the night full of mosquitoes we spent.

Dejamos nuestras cosas en la casa de la playa y nos sentamos en la arena ya que la casa quedaba en frente del mar. Así pasamos la tarde entre risas cuentos y ver el mar, al llegar la noche todo se nos dificultó más, ya que no podíamos encontrar las cosas para cocinar, bañarnos etc y habían muchísimos zancudos por ser zona costera, pero entre todas esas complicaciones el bello atardecer y amanecer compensó la noche llena de zancudos que pasamos.

In the morning we had breakfast and went swimming at the beach, we walked about 20 minutes to get to another beach called "Base Naval" near the house and there we spent a wonderful day, with laughter, games and food, from there we went back to the house at 4pm, we started to pack our things to go to our homes and surprise! The power came on when we had already packed our things to leave. Although it caused us to stay an extra day, our adventure was over.

En la mañana desayunamos y nos fuimos a bañar a la playa, caminamos unos 20 minutos para llegar a una otra playa llamada "Base Naval" cerca de la casa y ahí pasamos un día maravilloso, entre risas, juegos y comida, de ahí nos fuimos a las 4pm de vuelta a la casa, empezamos a recoger nuestras cosas para irnos a nuestros hogares y ¡sorpresa! Llegó la energía eléctrica cuando ya habíamos empacado las cosas para irnos. Aunque nos provocó quedarnos un día más, nuestra aventura ya había terminado.

You have to appreciate the good and bad things of every experience, because when something happens it is to learn from this situation, and although it seemed that the weekend was ruined, we always take the positive side of every situation.

Hay que apreciar las cosas buenas y malas de cada experiencia, ya que cuando sucede algo es para aprender de esa situación, y aunque parecía que el fin de semana se había arruinado, sacamos siempre el lado positivo de cada situación.
