Today I come to tell you about one of my adventures in Venezuela, several years ago (2014) I had traveled with a friend to a place called Fortin Solano, Carabobo State, Puerto Cabello Municipality. On that occasion I could not take pictures and could not capture the beautiful landscapes. In 2019 I decided to go back, this time with my mom, my boyfriend, a friend and a friend. The adventure began in November, we took a bus to Puerto Cabello and in 1 hour we were there.
In case you don't know it, Puerto Cabello is a place of beaches and tourism, the Solano fort is an old castle built in 1766 where the function was to protect the military, the city and its inhabitants from possible invasions, many years later the castle was rebuilt and remodeled and now is a tourist area to appreciate the beaches and the entire port.
Continuing with the adventure we arrived at my friend's house which was near the entrance we had to take and we started to walk, it was a 1 hour and 45 minutes climb, there was a lot of sun and the walk was a little tiring but it was compensated by the beautiful scenery around us. On the way we were taking pictures, both of us and the scenery, until we noticed that my mom was talking to a man who was going up in his vehicle, we all saw that my mother got in and left leaving us abandoned all for not continuing walking and that seemed funny and we kept walking.
Finally we arrived at the castle, it is far away at the tip of the mountain somewhat hidden, as mentioned above, it was a place for the military to hide, when we arrived we refreshed ourselves, drank water and began to walk around and see all the places of the castle that are open to the public, it has an entrance with a sign explaining what it was years ago.
As you continue to enter there are old weapons used by the military, there is also a lookout where they could observe if enemies or air raids were coming.
In the remodeling of the castle there is a place with tables and chairs to eat and relax for a while while you have a wonderful view, in that place we all sat and talked about the walk but it was worth it to know that castle and its history.
After spending hours there, touring, getting to know and taking pictures, we decided to leave, but not before taking more pictures where you could see the castle and how beautiful it is.
