Here's our quick escapade after a stressful and tiring week from the untouched paradise in Southwestern Cebu - The Hermit's Cove. This is the place to be if you want to soak up the sun, take a stroll along the long stretch of beach shaded by tall coconut trees, and reconnect with nature.
This lovely gem can be found in Aloguinsan, Cebu, a southern part of the island just two hours from Cebu City. This small municipality has so much to offer that we decided to begin our journey with our motorbike in our hometown of Danao City. It takes us more than three hours to get there, but it is well worth it because we can visit this town's hidden beach. We first went to Boho River, where we would soon share our experiences.
After cruising the Boho River, we decided to visit Hermits Cove, which is only a few minutes drive from the river. As we got closer to the beach, we were amazed by the view of the horizon and blue calm sea. In order to maintain social distancing, the officers give the tourists a time limit, which they will give you once you register, in order to avoid overcrowding on the beach.
A visit filled with discoveries of this mysterious place and encounters with nature is a really a trip to ponder.
