Hon Bo Hill: take a walk and see the beauty of Da Lat city-Vietnam

in Worldmappin2 years ago (edited)

After being traumatized by a traffic accident last month, I too am able to go out and get somewhere out of my stuffy home. Currently shoulder and arm injuries have recovered quite well, the knee part heals the earliest so after fixing my car I can go further out of the city to go for a walk on a hill.

I used to prefer short walks in the hills, or forest areas instead of central parks, or residential areas. Nearly a month of treatment at home is really difficult mentally when the body is confined in a limited space. After recovering, I took the car after it was repaired and moved to Hon Bo hill located on the periphery of the valley surrounding Da Lat city, Vietnam. This place is a pretty hill, not too high and attracts a large number of people to take pictures of landscapes, hiking and picnicking.

But today I'm lucky because there's no one around because it's not the weekend and it's still quite sunny.

In order to move to it, I have to take a long detour about 25km, although it is quite close to the residential area, but because of the system of nurseries and greenhouses growing agricultural products, there is no convenient transportation system. However, this is a typical beauty of this region that I want to see from above, when it is dark these gardens will be lit up and brilliant under the night. Very eager.

This hill consists of 3 small hills, the heights are regular, so it is possible to hike from the main road and enjoy the cool air and the sound of the wind through the trees.

I haven't fully recovered yet, so I travel by motorbike on the trail and climb the last hill because the steep slope helps me shorten the long walking distance.

This season, grass almost completely occupies the whole hill besides the pine tree. They are quite hard and sharp leaves, occupying the growth of other plants and leading to a lack of species diversity here. I was quite itchy when I went into the grass to see a stump with interesting mosses.

This thatched grass makes for a pretty cool color palette, doesn't it? However, as they dry out, fires can be a major nuisance because of their flammability.

When I reached the top of the highest hill I noticed how interesting it was, both the East and West sides have wide views and beautiful landscapes. The West direction because it was still quite sunny, so I went to the East direction and brought a hammock attached to two trees to relax. The East direction is more forested and the West direction is towards densely populated areas.

In the past, Da Lat city was built by the French with a suitable plan for about 50,000 people, but now because it is a leading tourist city poor immigration policies. It becomes overcrowded and stuffy in the densely populated city center. I wiser to choose here.

I waited until it was dark enough for the garden houses to light up the nurseries to be satisfied before returning. But it was starting to get colder and the wind was getting stronger, the simple wood stove I prepared in advance from the afternoon helped me keep a little warm with the current relaxation, I also prepared some snacks to not be too hungry.

Wandering around and enjoying myself like that helps me a lot in improving this quality of life.

Thanks.

I am sorry to hear about your injury and I am glad that you have recovered well.

I always thought that there are way too many glasshouses in The Netherlands, but there are many more in your country 🙂 It looks like a glass house city!

I especially like those sunset photos. It was a beautiful sunset..

Thank you for sharing!

Currently, the problem of the greenhouse complexes surrounding the city is causing many harmful consequences here, floods are quite frequent, soil degradation, abuse of chemical drugs form a vicious circle. In the past, this valley is located over 1000 meters above sea level, the climate is somewhat like a cool temperate climate, even the sunniest noon. But now the air around the city has increased markedly, more like a tropical one.
Yeah, if the sunsets were a little better and there were less clouds, it would be even better.

Da Lat is a beautiful place in Vietnam, your photos look beautiful. I think in the future I will go to Dalat with my friends.

Oh I recommend renting a motorbike and wandering aimlessly for a day. There will be many interesting things you can get
