My entry to Qurator`s Photo Quest organized by @qurator: Valleys

I love walking in the mountains of my beloved Asturias. Its peaks are not very high but they are of great beauty.

Walking route

Walking routes are my favorite. They allow me to photograph the natural environment from the beginning of the route, as is the case of the route of the Xanas that I like to do so much.

It is a simple route that runs through a gorge and where you first walk along a simple path in terms of the slope of the terrain but with the feeling that one false step and the game is over because of the great height that there is to the distant river.

The second part of the route runs through the forest and closer to the river. Less dangerous and the beauty lies in the intense green of all the vegetation that surrounds you.

The final part is steep and with the accompanying fatigue it becomes harder. But one has the advantage of being comforted by the wonderful views.

And if the views are not enough, there is a small mountain restaurant. An ideal place to get your strength back.

Cycling route

This is another healthy way to enjoy the Asturian mountains with friends. Although cycling is not my strong point.

But being able to climb in the Picos de Europa gives you beautiful moments between mountains and valleys.

And when you head towards the Lagos de Covadonga the reward is the greatest.

Buggy route

When the years and the kilos are heavy, a buggy tour through the mountains is also an option.

It is less ecological, but you have a good time on the roads getting dirty with dust and mud.

And also breathing fresh air when you stop to look at the distance, as was my last route in Cangas del Narcea.
