Greetings to everyone in the Worldmappin community! Today I am joining you to share a new post dedicated to tourism in the city of Guayana, Bolívar state, Venezuela. On this occasion, it is about the well-known and emblematic “Parque de la Navidad” (Christmas Park), located in Puerto Ordaz, in the Alta Vista area. On some occasions, I have dedicated my post to talking at length about this place, especially in terms of its historical and social context. Although at other times I have also participated to show some changes that have taken place over time (from one year to the next, for example), some news about the place, or simply because I have been there again. I think this post combines some of these latter reasons because, ultimately, it had been about a year since I last visited Christmas Park, there are some new developments there, and I decided to stop by. So, I took advantage of the moment to take (and have taken) some pictures of it. I hope you enjoy the tour.
¡Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Worldmappin! El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes una nueva publicación dedicada al turismo de la Ciudad de Guayana, estado Bolívar, Venezuela. En esta ocasión se trata del conocido y emblemático "Parque de la Navidad" , el cual se encuentra en Puerto Ordaz, en la zona de Alta Vista. En algunas ocasiones he dedicado mi publicación para hablar largamente sobre este lugar, sobre todo, en cuanto a contexto histórico y social se refiere. Aunque en otros momentos también he participado para enseñar algunos cambios sucedidos en el transcurso del tiempo (de un año a otro, por ejemplo), alguna novedad del lugar o simplemente porque he pasado nuevamente por allí. Creo que esta publicación reúne algunas de estas últimas razones pues en definitiva, tenía aproximadamente un año desde que no volví al Parque de la Navidad, hay algunas novedades en el lugar y decidí pasar por allí. Así que aproveche el momento para tomar (y que me tomaran) algunas fotografías sobre ello. Espero que disfruten el recorrido.
For this day, my partner and I had planned to visit Christmas Park. The idea was to take some photos of the women's merchandise we have in our new venture. By the way, here's our Instagram so you can see some of them and check out the photos we took during this session, which was inspired by the iconic park: wesistershop. People usually visit the park in the afternoon or evening, as the sun is harsh in the morning and at midday, but for what we were going to do, that was exactly what we needed. Lots of light, lots of sun. The park is perfect for this because it is outdoors, has lots of gardens (green areas), and also has many Christmas decorations (which we were also looking for because of the season we are in), such as candy canes, Christmas trees, tinsel, lights, etc. It is also spacious and, in general, quite beautiful.
Para este día yo había planificado con mi pareja visitar el Parque de la Navidad. La idea estaba en poder hacer algunas fotografías a la mercancía femenina que tenemos en el nuevo emprendimiento. Que por cierto, les dejo nuestro Instagram para que conozcan algunas de ellas y vean las fotografías que obtuvimos de esta sesión que estaba inspirada en tomar cómo referencia al icónico parque: wesistershop. Usualmente las personas visitan el parque cuando es de tarde o noche, pues durante la mañana o el mediodía el sol es inclemente, pero para lo que íbamos a hacer eso era justamente lo que más necesitábamos. Mucha luz, mucho sol. El parque es perfecto para ello porque se encuentra al aire libre, tiene mucho jardín (áreas verdes), también tiene muchos ornamentos navideños (cosa que también buscábamos por la temporada en la que estamos) cómo; bastones de caramelo, árbol de navidad, bambalinas, luces, etc., también es espacioso y en general, es bastante bonito.
I noticed that they had put up new decorations. Then we found out that they had already inaugurated the Christmas park. This is more of a tradition where the lights that decorate the park and its surroundings are turned on for the first time (usually in the first days of December). For that event, everyone usually goes around and sets off fireworks. That's nice, but unfortunately I've never been able to see it except through photographs, as I'm a bit clueless when it comes to finding out how and when things happen. However, the park will remain this way until January. That's what's important.
Another detail is that I had never gone so early to visit that park. That changes the picture a bit. I found it even more beautiful than at night, because the contrast between the beautiful blue sky and the green of the park's gardens is just as stunning as at night. I think I prefer it this way. Noté que habían colocado nuevas decoraciones. Luego supimos que ya habían hecho la inauguración al parque de la navidad. Esto es más bien una tradición dónde se encienden por primera vez (usualmente los primeros días del mes de diciembre), las luces que decoran el parque y sus adyacencias. Para ese evento suelen ir todos alrededor y lanzan cohetes. Eso es bonito, pero lamentablemente nunca he podido verlo sino a través de fotografías pues soy un poco despistada en cuanto a enterarme de cómo y cuando suceden las cosas. Sin embargo, el parque permanecerá de esta forma hasta el mes de Enero. Que es lo importante.
Otro detalle es que yo nunca había ido tan pero tan temprano a visitar ese parque. Lo que cambia un poco el panorama de la cuestión. Lo sentí incluso mucho más bonito que solo en la noche, pues el contraste de ese cielo azul precioso y los verdes del jardín del parque, no tienen nada que envidiarle a su presencia de noche. Creo que me quedo con ella ¿ustedes que opinan? hoy fue un día productivo, en muchos sentidos y me alegra haber tomado la iniciativa de ir hasta allá. It is really beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Puerto Ordaz @carminasalazarte. That Christmas Park looks so vibrant and disney-like. The designs are calling the yuletide and lights of December so I wonder how it looks like by night. I'm glad you were able to visit it by day since it gave you another Christmas park experience in the same place. Maybe there are posts in social media when and where the fireworks display wil occur so you won't miss it. I hope you get to witness it by yourself and not through photos because fireworks really gives you this sudden excitement upon watching them. Christmas is already there and I hope it would be so merry for you and for the people there.
