Some time ago, again for work reasons, I was in Aosta, this regional capital of the Valle d'Aosta, a beautiful location located in the Gran Paradiso national park.

And this beautiful region called Valle d'Aosta always reserves some beautiful surprises in art In history but especially in good food.

What struck me about Aosta was its Roman Theater, I didn't even know of this existence because probably it is not so advertised on a tourist level, unlike others but it must have been a beautiful theater 22 meters high.

Unfortunately only one facade remained and the experts of the time believe that it was also equipped with a fixed roof.

What is certain is that Aosta was an important outpost of the Roman Empire but subsequently also in the Middle Ages it was characterized by many invasions.

I had to make a very quick visit myself because I was only there for work but there were many places to visit including the numerous castles that are in the Aosta Valley but also many other Roman finds including the Arc de Triomphe. small town But inside it has many surprises to discover.

The practical thing for tourists is that Aosta has a train station and therefore is connected to the numerous cities of Italy but the most important thing is that once you are there I recommend that you buy a good piece of Fontina a very good typical cheese that is produced in those areas thanks to the production of the numerous cows that graze the meadows nearby.

I hope that this article has been useful to you and that it has made you discover this beautiful town in Italy in part. You need to do a deeper study, maybe the next time I go back, I will certainly bring more information.
