Que pasa gente, como están? por primera vez les contare sobre uno el viaje mas extremo que he realizado hasta ahora junto a una persona muy especial @oscariart, los invito a leer por completo el post porque lo que estoy apunto de contar les va a parecer una locura...

One day, I don't remember exactly which one we decided to make the decision to make an excursion to Cerro Negro Monagas Venezuela, we had already made the reservation, everything was scheduled to start the expedition on the 17th and return on the 18th, it's two days and one night up At the Cerro Negro point, we made this trip with the services of Ecopamping, however there was a rather unpleasant but unavoidable inconvenience, one of the groups that would accompany us suffered an accident and they decided to postpone the trip for October 15-16, basically we They had cut our plans in the most blunt way possible, honestly when they told me that I was quite disappointed, however I tried not to lose hope and indeed, on September 14 they wrote to me to be able to make the trip between September 15 and 16 I don't like that they play with my time, or that they change my dates, but it was that or just stay home doing nothing.

Cierto día, no recuerdo cual exactamente decidimos tomar la decisión de realizar una excursión hacia Cerro Negro Monagas Venezuela, ya habíamos hecho la reservación, todo estaba pautado para comenzar la expedición el día 17 y regresar el día 18, son dos días y una noche arriba en la punta Cerro Negro, dicho viaje lo realizamos con los servicios de Ecopamping, sin embargo hubo un inconveniente bastante desagradable pero inevitable, uno de los grupos que nos acompañaría sufrió algún accidente y decidieron postergar el viaje para el 15-16 octubre, básicamente nos habían cortado nuestros planes de la forma mas tajante posible, honestamente cuando me dijeron eso me desilusione bastante, sin embargo trate de no perder la esperanza y efectivamente, el día 14 de septiembre me escribieron para poder realizar el viaje entre el 15 y 16 de septiembre, no me gusta que jueguen con mi tiempo, ni que me cambien las fechas pero era eso o simplemente quedarse en casa sin hacer nada.

Ecocamping had given us some recommendations to climb the hill, such as carrying everything in plastic bags since it is too common for it to rain during the course of climbing the hill, in the two days that we were there it probably rained about 8 times, before starting to climb The mountain made us sign a contract basically to be free of responsibility if something happened, we decided to ask if at some point there had been a fatal accident and for the moment nothing serious has happened and accidents are more likely while we descend from the hill.

Ecocamping nos había dado algunas recomendaciones para subir el cerro, como llevar todo en bolsas de plástico ya que es demasiado común que llueva en el transcurso de subir el cerro, en los dos días que estuvimos probablemente llovió unas 8 veces, antes de comenzar a subir la montaña nos hicieron firmar un contrato básicamente para estar libre de responsabilidad si algo pasaba, decidimos preguntar si en algún momento había ocurrido algún accidente fatal y por los momentos no ha pasado nada grave y mayormente los accidentes son mas propensos mientras descendemos del cerro.

At the beginning they gave us a little talk, where they told us that the path to reach the top was about 5 to 7 kilometers and that the average time it took a person to climb the entire hill was about 7 hours, I honestly did not think That was so much, however that time is for less athletic people, the first group managed to climb in 3:30 hours and we in 4 hours, however the first 30 minutes of starting the excursion were harder than I expected... I was sweating profusely, all my shoes were submerged in mud, for a moment I decided to turn my eyes and I see Oscari lying on the floor and he tells me that he wanted to go back hahaha honestly I wanted to do it too, but showing weakness was not an option!

Al comenzar nos dieron una pequeña charla, donde nos comentaban que el sendero para llegar a la cima era de unos 5 a 7 kilómetros y que el tiempo promedio que le tomaba a una persona subir todo el cerro eran de unas 7 horas, honestamente no pensaba que fuera tanto, sin embargo ese tiempo es para personas poco atléticas, el primer grupo logro subir en 3:30 horas y nosotros en 4 horas, sin embargo los primeros 30 minutos de comenzar la excursión fueron mas duros de lo que esperaba... Estaba sudando a chorros, tenia todos los zapatos sumergidos en barro, por un momento decidí voltear la mirada y veo a Oscari tirada en el piso y me dice que se quería regresar hahaha honestamente yo también quería hacerlo, pero mostrar debilidad no era una opción!

Somehow we managed to get the strength to continue with the route, at some point my body decided to adapt and I stopped feeling any kind of pain, it was quite difficult, we couldn't see anything because of the fog that was at that time, after three hours and halfway up we were reaching one of the most complicated and dangerous sections of Cerro Negro Known as "Paso Del Viento" it is literally a dirt road barely half a meter wide and after that everything is a free fall, at the worst moment it started to rain a lot, everything was very muddy so a slip on such a small path was dangerous, moments later the second problem attacked us, the cold, the rain was heavy, we were almost at the top so the temperature was around 5 degrees at most, we were shivering from the cold, I was a bit frustrated but something deep inside me told me that I shouldn't feel sad or defeated, I decided to raise my hands to the sky and enjoy that rain as much as possible, I stayed a few minutes in that position until we decided to continue the little that was missing from the last journey to reach the top.

De alguna manera logramos sacar fuerzas para continuar con la ruta, en algún momento mi cuerpo decidió adaptarse y dejo de sentir cualquier tipo de dolor, fue bastante difícil, no podíamos ver nada por la neblina que estaba a esa hora, después de tres horas y media de subida estábamos llegando a uno de los trayectos mas complicados y peligrosos de Cerro Negro Conocida como "Paso Del Viento" literalmente es un camino de tierra de apenas medio metro de ancho y después de ahí todo es una caída libre, en el peor momento comenzó a llover muchísimo, todo estaba muy fangoso así que un resbalón en un camino tan pequeño era peligroso, momentos después nos ataco el segundo problema, el frio, la lluvia estaba fuerte, estábamos casi en la cima por lo que la temperatura era de unos 5 grados como mucho, estábamos temblando del frio que hacia, estaba algo frustrado pero algo muy adentro de mi me dijo que no debía sentirme triste o derrotado, decidí levantar mis manos hacia el cielo y disfrutar de esa lluvia lo máximo posible, me quede algunos minutos en esa posición hasta que decidimos continuar lo poco que faltaba del ultimo trayecto para llegar a la cima.

Shivering from the cold but with a smile on our face, the feeling of satisfaction we had when we reached the top was indescribable, we had to wait a while until they set up the tent to rest, we really couldn't walk anymore, while we were lying down I could feel that if I tried to squeeze my calves I would get a very strong cramp, luckily I know how to stop them before they attack my muscle, the night was relatively cold, despite that we went out to watch the stars, the landscape was beautiful, sadly our phones could not capture such an incredible scenario, when I looked up I saw a shooting star, it happened very quickly, it lasted half a second at most, that moment was quite special.

Temblando por el frio pero con una sonrisa en la cara, el sentimiento de satisfacción que tuvimos al llegar a la cima fue indescriptible, tuvimos que esperar un rato hasta que armaran la carpa para descansar, realmente no podíamos caminar mas, mientras estábamos acostados podía sentir que si trataba de apretar mis pantorrillas me daría un calambre muy fuerte, por suerte se como detenerlos antes de que me ataquen el musculo, la noche fue relativamente fría, a pesar de eso salimos a observar las estrellas, el paisaje era hermoso, tristemente nuestros teléfonos no podían captar ese escenario tan increíble, cuando levante la mirada vi una estrellita fugaz, paso muy rápido, como mucho duro medio segundo, fue bastante especial ese momento.

In the morning everything had been worth it, the view was incredible, everything was wonderful, I feel that I found a certain inner peace while watching the sunrise from that place, I was grateful to be alive, throughout the sky and the earth alone I felt honored to be there, I think this was the first step in a long history of travel that I will have in the future.

En la mañana todo había valido la pena, la vista era increíble, todo era maravilloso, siento que encontré cierta paz interior mientras veía el amanecer desde ese lugar, estaba agradecido de estar vivo, a lo largo y ancho del cielo y de la tierra solo me sentía honrado por estar ahí, creo que este es fue el primer paso en una larga historia de viajes que voy a tener en el futuro.

However, we were not yet at the top of Cerro Negro, we needed at least 15 minutes to reach the antenna, that is what they call the top of the hill, by far it was one of the most complicated parts, there was an area where there was only space to place a foot, I'm not afraid of heights, they seem wonderful to me, Oscari yes and even with all that he managed to overcome his fear and move through that small space, then there were areas where we literally had to hug the stones to be able to hold on because there was no road, only rocks, we found out that we have a talent for parkour at those times.

Sin embargo todavía no estábamos en la cima de cerro negro, nos faltaban al menos unos 15 minutos para llegar a la antena, así le dicen a la punta del cerro, por lejos fue una de las partes mas complicadas, había una zona donde solo había espacio para colocar un pie, no le tengo miedo a las alturas, me parecen maravillosas, Oscari si y aun con todo eso logro vencer su miedo y avanzar por ese espacio tan pequeño, después habían zonas donde literalmente teníamos que abrazar las piedras para poder sostenernos porque no había camino, solo rocas, descubrimos que tenemos talento para hacer parkour en esos momentos.

The attention of the guides was really good, quite friendly and patient with the hikers, the descent began at 9:40 in the morning, remember that the day before it was raining a lot, therefore the "Paso Del Viento" was 10 times more slippery than before, I really wasn't afraid, I didn't see it as a possibility that I would fall from there, but if I did slip several times, Oscari did get scared by one of my slips hahahah.

La atención de los guías fue realmente buena, bastante amigables y pacientes con los excursionistas, el descenso comenzó a las 9:40 de la mañana, recuerden que el día anterior estuvo lloviendo bastante, por lo tanto el "Paso Del Viento" estaba 10 veces mas resbaloso que antes, realmente no tenia miedo, no veía como una posibilidad que me cayera de ahí, pero si llegue a resbalarme varias vece, Oscari si llego asustarse por uno de mis resbalones hahahah.

Here the biggest problem of all arose, the water, all the bottles of water that we had brought had run out, we did not have even half a liter of water in our bag, even so we managed to descend to the middle of the journey where Daniel, one of the guides He decided to go down to look for water to hydrate us, he was very kind to us, I hope to meet him another time, we continue on the descent, a lot of mud, many falls, at a certain point we had to defend a very slippery area in a part of the route known as " The Forest" was too slippery, so I decided to stretch out my hand to hold on to a branch and said branch decided to break in two, luckily Oscari stopped my fall, although he took a hit on one of his arms, sorry hahah, we had to opening the way near the route, walking on the grass otherwise it was impossible to walk through so much mud, it was 6 hours of descent, we arrived at four almost five in the afternoon.

Aquí surgió el mayor problema de todos, el agua, todas las botellas de agua que habíamos llevado se habían acabado, no teníamos ni medio litro de agua en el bolso, aun así logramos descender hasta la mitad del trayecto donde Daniel, uno de los guías decidió bajar a buscar agua para hidratarnos, fue muy amable con nosotros espero encontrarme con el en otra oportunidad, seguimos en el descenso, muchísimo barro, muchísimas caídas, en cierto momento debíamos defender por una zona muy resbalosa en una parte del trayecto conocida como "El Bosque" estaba demasiado resbaloso, así que decidí estirar mi mano para aguantarme de una rama y dicha rama decidió reventarse en dos, por suerte Oscari detuvo mi caída, aunque se llevo un golpe en uno de sus brazos, lo siento hahah, teníamos que ir abriendo camino cerca de la ruta, caminando sobre la hierba de otra manera era imposible caminar entre tanto barro, fueron 6 horas de descenso, llegamos a las cuatro casi cinco de la tarde.

I am not going to lie, it was much more difficult than I expected, but it is an incredible experience that anyone should live at least once in their life, if you have the opportunity to do this excursion, do it, I assure you that it will be worth it and the suffering.

No voy a mentir, fue muchísimo mas difícil de lo que esperaba, pero es una experiencia increíble que cualquier persona debería vivir al menos una vez en su vida, si tienes la posibilidad de hacer esta excursión hazla, te aseguro que valdrá toda la pena y el sufrimiento.
