Last week was very boring for me,I lost every bit of vigor I possess, it was like I watched myself depreciate from 100% - 20% in 3 days but the third day being Wednesday had me by the neck.
I made a post 8 days ago in the #theweekend community when I realised I had been in Uyo for 8 years and had never gotten to the end of the road I used throughout me being here.
I got to college to complete my clearance where I met @godswilla and told him I wanted to get to Idu, the end of the road... He obliged that he would go with me but didn't mention he had never been there although I didn't ask him if he had, I just assumed he had been there because he's an indigene, my bad😬.
The thought of taking a ride was on both our minds but we didn't see any boat or fisherman out in the waters.
The stories I heard became untrue because the picture I had in mind wasn't played.
I saw that walkbridge that extended to the river and there was a flashback that that's Ibom Resort and Golf Course, the only five star hotel in Uyo, Akwa-Ibom.
On our way leaving Idu because we never planned to enter the resort, we just stopped a bus back home when I suddenly told @godswilla let's go into the resort.
A young boy and going girl were playing tennis while their coach (I think) watched.
Then we saw the love birds, the guy must be romantic, picnic by the water side just like the movies, lol.
They were hidding from my camera but I would find you.
The truth is that the moment you cross the gate into the resort, you are in a different world, and for the time we were there we felt we weren't in Nigeria anymore.
This guy was perfecting his golf swing at hole 8, I saw him swinging without hitting the ball at first, then there's this twist that golfers make after hitting the ball. He was practicing that then up the ball went (must be a billionaire kid, I guess🙄).
We found different trees but there was this one which it's branch or stem or something were on the ground. Godswilla pick one and shaked it,there was something inside, we broke it but couldn't find nothing until it was crushed with our feet.
We had no idea the great distance we were about to cover and as of this time, my phone had gone off and @Godswilla phone was almost shutting down.
We never had plans for the fun we were having now.
There would be a continuation to this exploration our phones had given up on us, the fact is that the phone going off saved us.
We had strolled enough and hadn't eaten.
This view was epic, you can't imagine what ideas we came up with both stupid and ridiculous while being captivating also.
