Hello my dearest and dearest friends! Especially for you nature lovers, traveling lovers, adventure lovers and for those of you who like to climb high mountains. How are you doing right now? Surely I hope you are in the best condition and in good health. And I hope you will be more successful on this platform with your works that are increasingly widely recognized. I hope I can follow in your footsteps and we succeed together. I'm glad we can meet again in my post this time. Okay my friend, on this occasion I want to share about my dear experience climbing a volcano which is reportedly still active today. This volcano is a type of cone volcano. With an altitude of 2624 from sea level, reportedly this mountain has erupted 5 times, namely around 1837, 1839, 1856, 1919 and 1924 AD. I never experienced this event because I was not born into the world that year. And this mountain is included in the 10 highest mountains in Aceh Province. This mountain is often called Mount Burni Telong, some people call it Mount Tutong, Mount Telong or Mount Boer Moetelong. This mountain is located in Bener Meriah Regency, Aceh Province. This mountain is one of the most sought-after tourist destinations and is coveted by adventure and challenge lovers. For those who love nature and climbing, this place will be a very worthy place to try. Even those who try the sensation are not only Acehnese but even from outside Aceh who participate in trying the challenging adrenaline there.
The story of the climbing adventure began with the invitation of a friend of mine who lived not far from the mountain. Because the climbing activity at that time was quite popular with the people of Aceh, I was challenged to try it. Finally, I accepted my friend's invitation with great enthusiasm. I set off for my friend's residence in Bener Meriah in the afternoon. The journey I took by motorcycle was 86 kilometers. I arrived at night and spent the night there. Until the next day we hurried to leave there. We chose a route from Simpang Balek, Wih Pesam sub-district, Bener Meriah. Until we arrived at a Basecamp, we prepared to climb. There were four of my friends and I. The climb began. We walked slowly up, nursing a rocky forest and an uphill road and saw the surroundings filled with residents' coffee plantations. The temperature was so cool and peaceful as if nature welcomed us with its cool embrace. Animals were singing as if they were singing a welcome song. Yes, this mountain is famous for its rich flora and fauna. Until finally we arrived at shelter 1. We took a short break and continued to shelter 2. We rested while taking the water springs that were here as our provisions. Because we will not find water again in front of there. We didn't stay long at shelter 2, we continued to shelter 3 and night fell. My friend and I set up camp at shelter 3 to rest and to adjust the right time to climb to the top because our goal was to see the beauty of the sunrise. But when my friends and I were resting in shelter 3 we were surprised by the sound of wild boars, the longer the sound got closer until some of my friends felt scared and they climbed the surrounding trees to avoid the threat of the wild boars. But I chose to stay in camp.
Until the time we set to climb le peak, namely shelter 4, arrived. The clock at that time showed 3 pm. We rushed to the summit until we finally reached the summit at dawn but at that time the fog was too thick so what we wanted to see the sun was not achieved. But I am very happy with what nature has given us. The beauty of the flora and fauna presented by nature paid off. At the top I was very happy because I could see a flora that I first encountered, namely Adelweiss flowers that grow on the slopes of the mountainside. It was an extraordinary experience and I am very grateful for the opportunity God gave me and grateful that God has created a very beautiful nature to enjoy and benefit from nature.
Until time invited us to go home because the sky was getting cloudy and the sky wanted to give nature a drink. And we hurried home. On the way back down the mountain peak a friend of mine slipped and almost fell fortunately he quickly grabbed the rope and he was safe. At that time my heart was arguing and I was careful to go down. With gratitude and joy I reached our vehicle safely and securely.
There are many lessons that we can take from nature and the activity of meeting the nature around us. One of the lessons I learned from this hike is "We will be able to hike alone but it will be more pronounced when with friends. So is life, life needs friends so that we can work together and provide benefits to others". And "When we climb we will realize, it is not the mountain that we must conquer but rather ourselves that we must conquer. Like life the trials and obstacles that come one after another so that you think of giving up but when you are able to defeat the ego in yourself it will all be beautiful and you will achieve your life goals."
This is the end of a short story of an adventurous boy who tries to overcome natural obstacles in order to conquer his own ego. Thank you for visiting my house, I hope your beloved friends are a little entertained by this adventure story. Thank you also for all your participation and help. Your support is very valuable. Continue to help and support me. May we reach the highest peak of all that we aspire to. Finally I take my leave, hopefully we will meet next time. Greetings from an adventurous boy.
