Wild Nature In Balchik

in Worldmappinlast year (edited)

Of the countless kinds of walks, there can be, the most enjoyable are those during the holidays.

As walking is a relaxation and a holiday is an even greater relaxation, it means that walking on holiday is a double relaxation!

This walk to the seaside helps me to add another episode to my series called Balchik, a series about my most recent visit to Balchik, the Black Sea resort so dear to me, my friends, and my family.

I must say again that I go to the sea not to sunbathe on the beach, no. I go mainly for as many walks as possible.

This time it is a walk to the edge of the resort, where there is a path following the seashore and reaching a neighboring resort called Albena.

Albena can be seen in the distance. There are only about 5 km to go, but nobody wants to go that far. As soon as we passed the last hotel we got close to the rich nature of Balchik. Another reason why I like this place so much.

The local climate is almost Mediterranean, which is remarkable, considering how far from the Mediterranean this place is.

The climate, but also the nature is characterized by abundance, differs from Romania, from my home.

The ladies I came on this trip with, my walking companions, were happiest at the opportunity to make bouquets from the spectacular dry grass...

But also the opportunity to rest on the bench and watch the sea and some of its lives.

This long promenade that connects these two resorts, Balchik and Albena is a perfect place to walk because it offers everyone what they want. The commercial part, with hotels, restaurants, cafes, and a wild part, for those in love with nature and solitude...

The closer we get to Albena, the further Balchik is. You can barely see it.

Being so far away from the hotel that for a few days became our home can also be slightly uncomfortable but we were not alone on this walk. Quite a few have discovered and loved this place and this way of relaxing.

For this promenade to exist, the sea had to be slightly ingrained and this was done with a stone pier, the famous white stone of the place. The stone has also become a support for various anonymous modes of expression.

Someone unhappy about the war in Ukraine...

... or someone else who probably saw the ideal color of the sea and wanted to immortalize it there.

After all, there's a return for every round trip.

We had to turn back towards Balchik before reaching Albena. In fact, there wasn't even a purpose in getting to Albena. It was just a reason to walk in the natural part, without any constructions, and without too many people.

For the solitary, it is an ideal place to walk, a place like this you hardly find in the tourist resorts by the sea.

Once we arrived at the first hotel, the first for us now but it is the last, when we leave the resort, we actually left the wilderness and nature.

Next comes the Castle of Queen Mary of Romania, the main attraction in Balchik.

And then the walk takes us back to the hotel for a well-deserved rest after a full day.

Full of joys and surprises.

The joy of the holiday and the sadness of its end.

End of the 8th episode.

I absolutely loved your blog post about the wild nature in Balchik! I've always been fascinated by the Black Sea coast, and your photos and descriptions have me even more excited to visit. I was particularly struck by your description of the wild flowers. I've never seen anything like them before! The photos you included are simply stunning. I especially love the photo of the field of yellow flowers. It's so vibrant and beautiful. I was also intrigued by the story of the white peacocks. I've never heard of white peacocks before, so I had to do some research. Apparently, they're very rare, and they're only found in a few places in the world. I'm so glad you were able to see them in Balchik! I like to read your posts about Balchik I'm definitely going to add Balchik to my travel list. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos and experiences with us! I can't wait to visit someday.

Thank you! I am sure the day will come when you will visit this place if you still want to.
As for the white peacocks, I think there is some confusion. I didn't write anything about peacocks.

Yes I think I confused the name of it but i think you got me, while I was reading this, time was late for me, maybe that's why)

Some people were walking, while others were resting on the benches or making bouquets of dry grass. It's clear that this is a place where people can relax and enjoy the beauty of nature in their own way.

I especially enjoyed the photos you shared. The sea looks so beautiful, and I love the way the white stone pier contrasts with the blue water.

Nature, and the sea are inspiring and helpful photo subjects. Glad you liked the photos, thanks!

Whenever there is such a beautiful weather, I also definitely like to go to such places where we can see the water that is so beautiful and the trees that are there and all the natural scenery. They all look very good and it is very relaxing to see them.
