Are you tired of having a modern city life during summer? Going to those crowded and expensive resorts just to have a swim on a pool full of chemicals again and again? Well, THIS IS THE SIGN! Nature calls you with its natural wonders that are free to be experienced by everyone. Join me once again in visiting a beautiful local river here in Negros Occidental, Philippines! The Twin River
This river is just a 15-minute ride from our home and we used our motorcycle for the trip. My mother is the one who wants to go in here, she said that she wants to do our laundry here hahaha. It's true though, doing laundry in rivers is part of our culture, (only if the river is clean of course). In our province of Camarines Norte, in Bicol, my grandparents own a falls, and there my mom was raised in a province life and I know she misses it.
The river is located downhill and is surrounded by green sugarcane fields. The place has an amazing view of the mountains. That is the mountain that we currently live in, Such a blessed place with an unmeasurable number of natural wonders like the Mambukal Wildlife Resort and the Seventh Falls that I recently visited.
After a few minutes of exploring, we finally reached the beautiful river! I got so excited when I saw the river, there was no entrance fee! When we arrive, many locals are already enjoying the clear fresh water of the river!
My mother immediately set up our things and started to do the laundry while me and my siblings enjoyed swimming first hahaha, and of course I helped my mother afterward .
Some families paid for bamboo cottages which are made by the people who live in the area. They also built a bamboo bridge for the people to easily cross the river without getting wet, but I think crossing through the water and rocks is safer than the bamboo bridge because it is not perfectly made and one wrong step will cause a serious accident.
Isn't this gorgeous?! This single beautiful river proves that Nature is always better than those man-made modern resorts. The water is crystal clear and so refreshing! The river is filled with volcanic rocks that fell from the mountains a thousand years ago. This flowing water also comes from the mountains of Don Salvador Bendicto, I've been there and the water from the river is so Cold and the rocks are Bigger.
I spend the rest of the day having fun with my family, this place is truly better than most of the resorts you'll find nowadays. There are a lot of wonderful places that are just hidden somewhere, we just need to explore a little and let our feet wander.
This is my little adventure for today folks! I hope you enjoyed it! Thank you for always reading and supporting my posts. See you on my next adventures!
