Himalayas hills station: my hometown

Hello to my all friends. how are you all .i hope you all are good and enjoying your life with your loved ones .

Almora- Almora is a very beautiful hill station.Which is also my birth place and hometown.almora is situated in uttrakhand of India .Nowadays I have come to this place and I am feeling very good.I have a lot of memories attached to this place.And nowadays those memories are getting refreshed.So let me take you around Almora in today's blog.And I am sure you will like this place very much.

So let's start with the narrow lanes of this place which you will find everywhere here.Here one has to pass through these narrow lanes only.So I also went to the market from here.These streets make this place historical.Because this is very old.
Actually it is a path made between two houses.And these houses were built from the plateau in the olden days And till today it is like that.

Leaving the streets, I entered straight to Almora's market.Almost all the shops had opened here.I didn't know when my hand came in front of my gopro, it is visible in my pics.Please forgive me for this .

Fruits are very popular here Because fresh Himalayan fruits are available here.There is always a crowd in these shops of those who buy fruits.I didn't buy because we already had them at home.By the way, nowadays more and more people are taking peaches and plums from here.And you can see that they have hanged bananas.Mango is also here .

This is the biggest pottery shop here.And here people come from far and wide to buy utensils.Most of the copper utensils are sold here.Very pure copper is available here, which is made only here.This is the reason why this shop is famous.By the way, let me tell you that drinking water in a copper vessel has many health benefits.

While roaming here, I have taken a photo of myself.And you people will think why I am wearing a mask.So let me tell you that I have come from city area, there were covid cases there and I wore this for my safety and that of other people.

Friends, I went to the oldest and famous temple of Almora, whose name is Maa Nanda Devi Temple. Mother Nanda Devi is worshiped here.There are many temples of Maa Nanda Devi all over the Himalayas.And the temple here is also the main temple. Many mythological beliefs are also prevalent about this place.

This is the front side of the temple from where the entry is.You can see that the pillars have been designed here.And the picture of Maa Nanda Devi has also been made.A fair is held here every year between September and October.In which devotees come from far and wide.And here, along with the colorful work, the culture of the Himalayan region is also shown.

This temple was built around 11th century.And you can see the art of old times in this walls .

The art made in the courtyard of the temple is called Rangoli here.

By going through these stairs, we reach the gate of the temple.After that, after reaching the temple, very cold winds are felt.Because this temple is located in very height place .

There is also a very big tree here, under which people sit and talk.Even today the people in the Himalayas are the same as I had seen before. Not much has changed in them.And here the cow also sits and enjoys the cool air.

There is one more special thing about this place.There are many dogs here.And the people here are very dog ​​lovers.These are not domesticated dogs. But everyone keeps giving them food and drink.Their health also remains good.They sleep like this throughout the day and keep watch at night.Because of their fear, even a thief does not come here.

This is the famous Jalebi shop of Almora.Where fresh fresh jalebi is made.And here Jalebi is eaten with milk which is very tasty.I also bought some jalebi here for home.

It is not known when these houses were built, but the people here have preserved them as they were before.The specialty of these houses is that they are warm in winter and cool in summer.The height of the rooms is also very less.These houses made very colorful attract attention.Each house is painted in a different colour.

The clothes you are seeing here are the traditional dress which the women here wear in cultural programs.

After that I went to where the iron lion has been made.There are more lions in the Himalayas, so because of this a lion has been made here.

This is the taxi stand of Almora from where taxis are available to Himalayas and all the hill areas.I can see the view of the mountains from here too.All the mountains look down from us because Almora is in the top of hills .
