Hello everyone!!!

I hope you are well or are trying to be well. I am fine. I'm feeling much better. The change of season seems to be losing its effect on me, but I can't remember exactly what I want to do. Something is always missing.

Just like I forgot to write this post yesterday. On the one hand, I congratulate myself for being here right now. After all, I am striving for something, right? (Poor consolation...) Anyway.

Today I would like to take you to a place in the city where I spent the most amazing years of my life. Of course I will tell you about my memories of this place.

Today we are going with you to the museum where a huge Revolution (Devrim) lies. Yes, I thought a lot about it 😂😂😂 Before starting my experience, if you want to learn more about the adventure of this car, I recommend the film of the same name (‘The Cars of the Revolution’). It perfectly summarises what difficulties were encountered.

Before coming to Eskişehir, we had to set off from Konya and fortunately these two cities are not that far from each other. You can easily arrive in 1-2 hours even by high speed train.

Even though the weather was cold in Konya, when we set off, the gradually warming air was telling us that we were approaching Eskişehir, because I know very well that Eskişehir should not have any trace of winter at that time. Of course you never know. It looks like there is sun but the cold is bad. I still remember the days when my hair and eyelashes were frozen or the days I went to the exam at -24 degrees. Ah ah ah...

Nevertheless, I think you can easily see from this photo how happy I am that I was able to visit Eskişehir again.

At this point, I will talk a little more about myself because I also have memories of the Revolution Car from years ago. I would like to write this article from both a local and touristic point of view.

To be honest, Devrim Car is a little far from the centre and it is not a place that I would prefer to walk in terms of transportation. Normally Eskisehir is known for being within walking distance to everywhere, or at worst the tram passes through all the main roads, but unfortunately this tram is far away from here.

At that time, it was even difficult to have the tram fare, which was 1.35 TL (0.038 USD) student fare, which was the case for me.

So I had to walk everywhere, and it was a VERY long walk. I had to come here for an assignment and I came here with the research and knowledge of the world. Although the road was problematic, the entrance to the museum was quite smooth. Everything was great with the artefacts inside and much more.

When you enter the door, the first thing you see are models. Factory plans.

There are a few like that. These models, if I remember correctly, also show the regions where the parts of the car were made, but not all of them. At the time, I'm talking about the 1960s, we didn't have a car factory, so the parts of the car were actually produced in different factories with tools that were found to produce other parts.

Then, the ones on the right side are the old trains that attract your attention. Don't mind that I call them old, they are the first examples of their kind. Now fast trains are everywhere. The good thing about these trains is that you can go inside and see the permitted ones. To be honest, I didn't go in because there were too many queues. You could go inside the train numbered K 2201. Of course, things are constantly changing.

After examining the trains, you actually see something else that attracts your attention. The Car of the Revolution

Since I know the story in detail and have spent months on my research, whenever I talk about Devrim, my eyes fill with tears. It was a very emotional return for me. I was very happy to see that Devrim was well cared for.

How successful Devrim was can be debated even on his world view, but the most important thing is what he represented. As someone who has visited more than half of Türkiye's provinces, I must say that the home of Devrim is Eskişehir. It cannot be anywhere else.

It is quite possible to say that this is an emotional writing for me. After all, there is a history here, just like the other places I have visited. A painful one. Missed opportunities as well. I better say goodbye to you before I start crying without shame. Even writing about it is so emotional, I guess you can imagine how I felt after learning about it and visiting the museum.

I hope one day you will learn something about the Revolution and you will agree with me. After all, Revolution is inevitable, right? 😁

Umarım iyisinizdir ya da iyi olmaya çalışıyorsunuzdur. Ben iyiyim. Kendimi çok daha iyi hissediyorum. Mevsim değişikliği üzerimdeki etkisini kaybediyor anlaşılan ama bir türlü yapmak istediğim şeyleri tam olarak hatırlayamıyorum. Sürekli bir şeyler eksik kalıyor.

Aynı dün bu yazıyı yazmayı unuttuğum gibi... Bir yandan da kendimi şu anda burada olduğum için tebrik ediyorum. Sonuçta bir şeyler için çabalıyorum değil mi? (Züğürt tesellisi...) Neyse.

Bugün sizinle hayatımın en güzel yıllarını geçirdiğim şehirdeki bir yere götürmek istiyorum. Bu yer ile ilgili anılarımı elbette size anlatacağım.

Bugün sizinle birlikte koca bir Devrim'in yattığı müzeye gidiyoruz. Evet bunun için çok düşündüm 😂😂 Benim deneyimime başlamadan önce eğer bu arabanın macerası ile ilgili daha fazla bilgi edinmek isterseniz size aynı isimli (Devrim Arabaları) filmini öneririm. Ne zorluklar ile karşılaşıldığını harika bir şekilde özetliyor.

Eskişehir'e gelmeden önce Konya'dan yola çıkmamız gerekiyordu ve neyse ki o kadar da uzak değil birbilerine bu iki şehir. Hızlı trenle bile 1-2 saate rahatlıkla varabilirsiniz.

Konya'da hava soğuk olsa dahi yola çıktığımızda yavaş yavaş ısınan hava bize Eskişehir'e yaklaştığımızı söylüyordu çünkü çok iyi biliyorum ki o zamanlarda Eskişehir'in kıştan eser günlerinin olmaması gerekiyor. Tabii belli olmaz. Güneş var gibi görünür ama soğuğu da kötüdür. Saçlarımın ve kirpiklerimin buz tuttuğu günleri hâlâ hatırlıyorum ya da -24 derecede sınava gittiğim günleri. Ah ah...

Yine de Eskişehir'e tekrar uğrayabildiğim için ne kadar mutlu olduğumu bu fotoğraftan rahatlıkla görebilirsiniz sanırım.

Biraz daha kendimden bahsedeceğim bu noktada çünkü Devrim Arabası ile ilgili yıllar öncesinden kalma anılarım da var. Bu yazıyı ikisini de, hem yerel hem de turistik bir açı, göz önünde bulundurarak yazmak istiyorum.

Devrim Arabası, merkeze biraz uzak olan ve ulaşım konusunda yürüme yönünden çok da tercih edeceğim bir yer değil açıkçası. Normalde Eskişehir her yere yürüme mesafesinde olması ile bilinir ya da en kötüsü tramvay bütün ana yollardan geçer fakat ne yazık ki bu tramvay buranın uzağında kalıyor.

Bir de o zamanlar 1,35 TL öğrenci ücreti olan tramvay parasına sahip olmak bile zor olabiliyordu ki benim için de durum buydu.

Bu yüzden her yere yürüyerek ulaşmak zorunda kalmıştım. Bu çoooooookkkkk uzun bir yürüyüştü. Bir ödevim için buraya gelmem gerekiyordu ve dünyanın araştırması ve bilgisi ile buraya gelmiştim. Yol sorunlu olsa da müzeye giriş oldukça sorunsuzdu. İçeride bulunan eserler ve daha nicesi ile birlikte her şey harikaydı.

Kapıdan içeri girdiğinizde karşınıza çıkan ilk şey maketler oluyor. Fabrika planları.

Böyle birkaç tane var. Bu maketler, yanlış hatırlamıyorsam eğer, bu maketler arabanın parçalarının yapıldığı bölgeleri de gösteriyor fakat hepsini değil. Zamanında, 1960'lardan bahsediyorum, bir araba fabrikamız olmadığı için arabanın parçaları farklı fabrikalarda aslında başka parçalar üretmek için bulunan aletlerle üretiliyor.

Daha sonra ise ilginizi çeken ve sağ tarafta kalanlar eski trenler oluyor. Bakmayın bu eski dediğime türünün ilk örnekleri onlar da. Şimdi ise hızlı trenler her yerde. Bu trenlerin güzel tarafı ise izin verilenlerin içine girip görebiliyorsunuz. Ben çok sıra olduğu için girmedim açıkçası. Bu gördüğünü K 2201 numaralı trenin içerisine girebiliyordunuz. Tabii sürekli bir şeyler değişiyor.

Trenleri inceledikten sonra ise aslında dikkatinizi çeken bir şey daha görüyorsunuz. Devrim Arabası

Hikâyesini detaylıca bildiğimden ve araştırmalarım için aylar geçirdiğimden olsa gerek ne zaamn Devrim'den bahsetsem gözlerim doluveriyor. Benim için oldukça duygusal bir geri dönüştü. Devrim'e iyi bakıldığını görmek beni çok mutlu etti.

Devrim'in ne kadar başarılı olduğu dünya görüşü üzerine bile tartışılır fakat asıl önemli olan temsil ettiği şeydir. Türkiye'nin yarısından fazla ilini ziyaret etmiş biri olarak söylemeliyim ki Devrim'in evi Eskişehir'dir. Başka yerde olmaz.

Ben yine çok duygusallaştım. Hatta gözyaşlarımın da aktığını hissedebiliyorum. Sadece size veda etmeden önce, olur da filmi bulamazsanız ya da izlemek istemezseniz diye minik bir bilgilendirme tahtasını size göstermek isterim.

Benim için duygusal bir yazı olduğunu söylemek gayet mümkün. Sonuçta burada aynı diğer ziyaret noktalarım gibi bir tarih yatıyor. Acılı olanlarından. Kaçırılan fırsatlar da aynı şekilde. Ben utanmadan ağlamaya başlamadan önce size veda etsem iyi olacak. Hakkında yazması bile bu kadar duygusalken bunları öğrendikten ve müzeyi ziyaret ettikten sonraki hâlimi düşünebilirsiniz sanırım.

Umarım bir gün Devrim hakkında bir şeyler öğrenirsiniz ve bana hak verirsiniz. Sonuçta Devrim kaçınılmazdır değil mi? 😁
