I visited Sintra last year and found the place just so wonderful, and for reasons that escape me, I walked from the town all the way up to the Castelo dos Mouros! Exhausting, but oh so worth it, the views from up there were amazing and it is just such a stunning location to be standing in. I honestly wish to go back again once things have settled down again.
